Mark's Comics is now running Thursday night Vintage tournaments.

The info:

What:

Mark's Comics Vintage
$10, 15 proxy non-sanctioned Vintage tournament

Prize Structure:

The payout will be in store credit, which can now be used on cards in the case or sealed product (packs, boxes, etc.).

When the store has staples, they will be offered up in the prize pool.  The first iteration of this event saw an Underground Sea given away to first place.

Where:

Mark's Comics and Collectibles
291 North Central Ave
Valley Stream, N.Y.
(516) 872-5919

When:

Every Thursday Night!
6:30 pm registration, 7 pm start

We had 17 players for the first of these, last week and we had 12 players last night.  I'm going to be playing in these, as they're excellent practice for Vintage Champs, which is a mere eight weeks away.  The competition for these events is quite strong; it's a great opportunity to play high level Vintage!

I hope to see you there!

Vintage is on, and I will be there.  We had great turnout the last two weeks, I'm looking forward to seeing who's there tonight!

Well, this was fun!

We had 14 guys last night, which was a great showing.

Top four was Fenton, Egan, Dixon and I.  I got Oath'd to death in top four, Tom knocked out Mike.

Dixon and Fenton worked out a split, then played out the finals, though I don't know what the final result was.

I believe there was some disgust over an oath mirror, there may have been some punches thrown, and then Greg started playing guitar and singing.

I thought that was revelry. Love me some Oath on Oath violence in the finals. Smile

This is coming up again in just a couple of days.  Given that I no longer feel like death, I'm going to be at Mark's on Thursday to get some pre-Champs games in.

I hope to see you there!

Thursdays at Mark's have been a blast. We've averaged around 14 players, which is impressive for a weekday.

Come on down, fellow Vintage players. Smile

That is quite a good number.

If I lived closer, I would be a weekly attendant.

Hope to see people come out to this!

Bump...

Aside from credit, the last couple have had a cash prize in correlation with the number of players that participate. So hopefully that gives some people a bigger incentive to come down and play, also a great way to start off the vintage year with some preparation for larger events.
