Once again it is time to look at another commander variant.
ADC (Australian Duel Commander) has grown from my LGS and is now quite popular pulling in 20+ player tournaments every month as well as numerous weekly events. It has been great to see this format grow over the past year and a bit and it has been a fun ride thus far. We have just opened

What is ADC?ADC is a 1v1 variant of EDH/Commander and was originally designed as a bridge format between the more casual EDH scene and the competitive eternal formats (Legacy/Vintage). To reflect this focus, ADC is designed for one on one play. Unlike multiplayer Commander, cards that are banned because of their poor interactions with many players are fair game in ADC. Because there is only one opponent ADC decks are naturally more powerful and more focused then other versions of Commander. Because of the focus on true eternal Magic, many of Legacy/Vintage's marquee cards are permissible such as Fast mana and Tutors (no Moxen unfortunately).
Why ADC?First of all, this is a competitive format. Build the best, bring the best and be up to fact against the best. You don't need to worry about "socially acceptable" cards.
Secondly, this is the Vintage of Commander. While the moxen are banned, many of the formats defining cards such as the tutors, Fastbond are available for use which really spice up the games.
Thirdly, the format is wide open. I personally have made top 4 with Jund Control, Worldgorger Dragon and the finals with Griselbrand Ad Nauseum while others have done well With Rafiq Aggro, Grand Arbiter Control and Ghave Control and recently Godo Combo. There are heaps of decks viable at the moment.
