I was trying to find a home for Read the Bones, which is a card that seems to have potential. I am not that experienced with Drains, just take them as Test Decks online, so I tried to start in a Sui like shell.

Manabase

1 Strip Mine
3 Wasteland
2 Swamp
2 Verdant Catacombs
4 Marsh Flats
4 Scrubland
1 Plains
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Jet
1 Black Lotus

Cardadvantage-Quality, Tutors

4 Read the Bones
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor

Control

3 Swords to Plowshares
4 Duress
4 Thoughtseize
4 Phyrexian Revoker

HelmLine

2 Helm of Obedience
4 Rest in Peace

Cardadvantage Beatz

4 Dark Confidant
4 Stoneforge Mystic
2 Batterskull

It doesn't work with Rituals, that mustn't been test, so 5 Moxen are welcome. I am unsure if the splash of a third color would bring profit, i just stood bw as a first sketch.

As controlling elements ther are 8 Duress/Thoughtseize and Phyrexian Revokers, which get benefit from the informations. Some StoPs as removal, and Rest in Pieces Combo (Rest in Peace and Helm of Obedience).

For not draining the life into critical zones, Stoneforge Mystic and Batterskull are doing their Job. The Draw comes from Read the Bones and Dark Confidant.

Thats the end of the story, the Sideboard is still a mess, but first tests seemed positive.

Its not exactly about the list, than more about to find a home for Read the Bones. But i would be happy to get some input, maybe there are cards i overlooked.

Help with the Sideboard would also be great; what can i do against Chalice@2 (Devout Witness?), is Vindicate a worthy card, do i need Snuff Outs, would Stony Silence and/or Mental Misstep be good? Grafdigger's Cage has green light i think.

greetings

I like the list, and I too have been looking for a home for Read the Bones. The only thing I can think of is maybe one-of Enlightened Tutor? Might not even be worth it, but it could fetch the RIP combo pieces, Batterskull, Revoker. Maybe even throw in a one-of Crucible of Worlds, you can get the Strip/Waste lock. I don't think Stony Silence is a good idea, because it shuts off your Batterskulls and Helms, and you need the moxen to get the most advantage out of Read The Bones. If however, you did run Stony Silence, it would improve the usefuleness of Enlightened Tutor. I'd be wary of Snuff Out, since between Thoughtsieze, Read the Bones, and Bob you'll already be losing quite a bit of life.

Hymn to Tourach may be worth considering. What about Lilliana?

The plan would be to side out 2-3 Moxen, the Helm and insert Missteps and Stonys, plus the 4th Wastie to get the Manabase fixed again. Against Mud where i want to have the Snuff Outs i would board out the RtB, 3 cmc isn't that easy under Spheres, but i think if you are running white that there is no need for Snuffs, Path to Exile would be a better choice i guess.

Enlighteened would fit, it has its place in Legacy Decks of similar kind, but in Vintage you don't want multiple on top Tutors. Vampiric is fine, Enlightened would do nearly the same... so i am unsure about it.

I thought of Auriok Salvager, and a Bomberman SB/MD Plan, but i didn't get more into it, due the lack of tutors. Maybe Enlightened could fix that.

Hymn is a good card, especially with Lilianas brining the Opponent into topdeck modes, but they are BB.. maybe its not an issue, but i guess the list doesn't need them. Lilly's sac ability isn't needed since there is Swords to Plowshares.

On the other hand it could be a branch where the things could go, but there are just two of them where you can make cuts, the RiP combo, or in the 8 Duress Revoker Package. I don't think Lilly and Hymn would be more worth.
