Widespread Panic
2r
Enchantment Rare
Whenever a spell or ability causes its controller to shuffle his or her library, that player puts a card from his or her hand on top of his or her library.

So, obviously good against heavy tutor decks and punishes fetches.  3 mana for a repeated, cost free raven's crime.  That's not great, but not obscenely terrible.  Now, what if this were to be played with cards that made each player search/shuffle their libraries?

Soldier of fortune.dec?  I always did want to run 1 mana Arnold Schwarzeneggers.

It punishes only shuffles caused by opponent activity. How unfortunate.

There is a lot of shuffling your opponent can do on their own accord.

Really the question is what deck can actually use this (not many, probabaly mono colored) and then if they can is it better than what they have.

Thinking that Mono red still would rather have bloodmoon in play.

Why do horrible and clearly unplayable cards always get discussed here?

Because there isn't a lot more else to discuss. This card has an effect that mostly target Vintage, so might as well discuss it.

For me, the biggest problem is that it's symmetrical, meaning you're stuck running fewer fetches, or a deck that can deal more easily with card disadvantage, like TMWA. Would have been pretty decent otherwise.

The ONLY deck I can imagine this working with is a RW deck without fetches, because it does not want to have Moon effects so it can pay its white mana, and since it also sorta works with Path to exile, maybe that is a thing?

As a starting point maybe?

4 Widespread panic
4 Thalia
4 Gorilla shaman
4 Path to exile

4 Plateau
4 Sacred foundry
4 Rugged Prairie
4 Wasteland
1 Stripmine

There's always the option of not discussing something.  There's no posting quota to hit.

Every deck that places with this card in it represents a soft, casual tournament not indicative of a competitive spirit or mindset.
