Brewport Games will be hosting weekly Vintage events for store credit every Wednesday (starting 12-18-2013).
Brewport Games
1826 East Joppa Rd
Parkville, MD 21234
Reg Time: 6:00pm
Start Time: 6:30pm
Entry Fee: $5
Rounds and store credit based upon attendance!
15 Proxies allowed!

On such short notice, I'm glad we had a pretty good turnout for 12-18-2013. Total of 7 people.
Meta breakdown was:
2x Aggro Shops
1x 5-color control
1x UW Angels
2x Merfolk Fish
1x Oath
After talking to the owner, it sounds like Brewport Games will continue to hold Wednesday events come 2014.

7 people came out today for Vintage to bring in 2014.
Meta breakdown was the following for 01/01/2014:
1x 5-color control
2x Aggro Shops
1x Merfolk Fish
2x Oath (1 w/Griselbrand and Gaea's Blessing and 1/Griselbrand and Memory's Journey)
1x Minus Six
Two of the people were different faces from the last time, so hopefully the Vintage community continues to grow.

I'm about an hour out in Northern VA so the start time is tough on a Wednesday. There are a few of us in Virginia though that I imagine would be interested if the store were to run a weekend event here or there. If one gets scheduled lmk I will try to set up a car.

Sounds great.
Also, one of the best parts of the drive to Brewport is that it's pretty close to I-95, so it's easy to get to.
Right now the group is starting to generate some interest in the area, but we're ultimately planning either monthly or bi-monthly vintage events on weekends as well.
I'll keep you posted.

Though I couldn't make last night's Vintage events, I heard Vintage managed to fire, so all of this info is coming secondhand from one of the employees.
1/8/2014 had 6 people in attendance with two spectators.

Due to unsafe road conditions, weekly Vintage at Brewport Games will be canceled for 1/22/2014.
It will resume next Wednesday 1/29/2014.

I spoke to the store owner at Brewport, and ideally, they'd like to have a group of at least 6 people to run the event as a casual event at the store. Attendance has been flickering between 2-4 people as of late. Hopefully, with Vintage Masters coming out, there will be more renewed interest in the format for the area. I'm out of town the next two Thursdays at least. I'll have to catch you next time, Justin.  |

A handful of people have been getting a hold of me over Facebook to regroup and reorganize the Vintage scene in the MD area. That said, it sounds like next week's turnout will start to pickup, especially with Vintage Masters being released soon.
If there are people in the MD area that want in on this facebook group, then feel free to PM me. At the moment, they're trying to compile a list of Vintage players in the area.
