Here is a list I just threw together for fun and was wondering if I could get people's feedback, I'm sure it needs moved but I wanted to add to the question since the OP mentioned playing Reaper in a deck.

Reaper Scry

4 Dark Confidant
4 Bloodghast
3 Reaper of the Wilds

4 Bitterblossom
3 Skullclamp

4 Cabal Therapy
4 Duress
4 Thoughtseize

Demonic Tutor
Vampiric Tutor
2 Crucible of Worlds

Black Lotus
Mox Jet
Mox Emerald
Lotus Petal
4 Verdant Catacombs
1 Bloodstained Mire
1 Polluted Delta
1 Marsh Flats
1 Wooded Foothills
1 Windswept Heath
4 Bayou
2 Swamp
2 Forest
4 Wasteland
Strip Mine

Sideboard:

4 Nature's Claim
4 Dismember
4 Tormod's Crypt
3 Relic of Progenitus

Bob is the best draw engine for this style of deck, also has synergy with Clamp.
Bitterblossom is pretty sweet with Clamp.
Bloodghast is actually really sweet in this style of deck, recurrable card advantage is sweet!
Cabal Therapy adds to disruption suite by synergizing with Bloodghast, as well as getting rid of Bob if the life total becomes low.
Crucible is nice with Fetches to thin the deck or Waste/ Strip to deny mana.

All in all I think this deck could be playable and would just like any insight anyone can give.

Split and moved. Don't necro threads.

I like dark confidant.
I like bloodghast and bitterblossom with skullclamp, great card advantage given time.
I like reaper of the wilds, it should crush aggro decks if accelerated into it.
I like all of those draws. These and crucible means lots of cards to play each turn.

I don't like very much 12+4 duress effects. Too much!
I don't like the absence of abrupt decay in a BG deck.
I don't like how mud and oath pairings. Bug feels bad. And tinker alone.
The lack of bombs and the low hate (other than discard) makes this deck's topdecks worse than most opponents'.

I have no idea if this deck would be competitive or not. But since Mental misstep and topdecks exist, rely on discarding to control opponent feels weak.

I admit there are a ton of holes in this deck. When I threw the list together I did so without sleep and my brain was fried.
The list should have:

-4 Duress
-4 Thouhtseize / Cabal Therapy

+4 Abrupt Decay
+4 Deathrite Shaman

The sideboard should also have 4 Yixlid Jailer and possibly Scavenging Ooze.

I'm not sure what should be played to deal with Tinker.

I have a version of Kobold Clamp that I play sometimes for fun and it has a few Carnival of Souls which work really well in this kind of setup. Usually you win before Carnival drains your life and the removal of mana burn makes the card a whole lot better. Since you run green Essence Warden can balance some life loss. Since carnival works on opponent's creatures too it can help pay for instant speed answers when you need them.

Ah, yes, DRS fits perfectly in this deck too, I haven't thought of it. It would be good for your life count, with those confidants, tgz and bitterblossom.

Liliana comes to mind addressing tinker, as some "sacrifice a creature" cards. Ensnaring bridge? Most of your creatures are small (other than reaper), and if you can stabilize at 2 it would be perfect.
