Neat deck though, along with Potucek's Wizards.

Also, did Mr. Kohler have a sb?

Thanks to Shawn for hosting this tournament, and congratulations to Lance and the rest of the Top 8.  Although I didn't do well at all, it's always a good day to get out and play some Vintage.

Awesome event! I played the UR wizards and in the t8 I lost to my own Mana Crypt while having Jace Clique going to town. I wasn't able to find an EE or Trinket mage...ever lol. Deck was great and tournament was fun! Can't wait to play again! Thanks Shawn

It's an honor to have become a brand name defining the long lost sixth pillar of Vintage...

It's probably just another combo deck though.  Great event, great prize, look forward to next month.  Thanks for hosting the event, Shawn!

Congrats to the rest of top 8.  I had a great time as always at Bloomsburg with our awesome community.  Of course taking home a mox by playing wastelands, bazaars, and caverns in the same deck is awesome too!

You probably won't get a report from Brandon. He just plays whatever deck I give him for each event, and since he is typically a standard/draft player he doesn't even use tmd.

Big ups to Lance and the rest of the Top 8. Sorry to have missed this one, but will certainly be at the next one! Also, "Brian Kelly Decks" just may the the single best description of Brian Kelly decks that I've ever seen.  Very Happy

Ok. Sad

I can tell you that he had the following opening against me on the play in the game that he won--

Lotus, Ruby, Tinker -> Sundering Titan... Mishra's Workshop, Sphere of Resistance.

I played Cavern, Lotus, AEther Spellbomb, bounce Titan, and in the next few turns, he hit Wasteland, Strip Mine, Wasteland, Workshop, Workshop and replayed the Titan with 9 Shop mana and me having nothing in play.  It looked like a very fun deck.  In the other games, he was very prepared for the Oath of Druids so I had to win by hardcasting Salvagers and comboing out w. Tendrils.

Did he really play those cards in that sequence? That seems awful. Shop, Ruby, SoR, Lotus, Tinker is much better.

It was that sequence.  We'd played before in the Swiss and he knew I wasn't on Force.

That sequence also plays around Mindbreak Trap.

That sequence also plays around Mindbreak Trap.

I noticed.  This was a g1 of our second match and when I run Traps they're in the sideboard, so it didn't make a difference either way.  Your sequencing is more universally optimal though for sure.
