That's like 112 pct?

If you are only giving 100% you just aren't even trying.  My guess is it's due to rounding?

EDIT: There are 31 decks listed out of 25 competitors. Mathematical!

Also, Joe Browns list must be missing some lands, I don't think he'd run with only 9 mana sources (and 45 cards).

I hardcast Blightsteel 3 times in this event, and I don't think I've ever hardcasted it before. Justin drained one of them Sad

Congrats for the victory!

Percentages updated to reflect I may be dyslexic and put 4's instead of 1's for two of the categories since their percentage was 4. Joe Brown's deck list will be updated tomorrow to reflect his lands. Thank you all for your posted concerns.

She was an all-star throughout the day, hardcast four times with no issues.

"Cavern naming Praetor."
"Uh..."

After running Myr Battlesphere last week, I found that card ended up in my hand significantly more than half the time and was entering play more often than not by paying  {7}, which is one of the reasons people sometimes opt for it over Blightsteel Colossus.  So I borrowed an idea from my Modern Gifts deck and liked it in testing enough to give it a spin.

A big Congrats to Justin. I was shocked when I only saw 3 Jaces lol.
Congrats to the rest of the top!

The 4th Jace is now Magus of the Future.

Thanks to Shawn for hosting a great event w. generous prize support and for taking the time to post the results promptly as a voluntary service to the Vintage community.

Hellkite? Or a really big surprise in games in which he gets his Sapphire online.

It is the anti-guli syndrome Smile

Jokes asside, I really like the Elesh Norn idea, it is a super Mayor/Pontiff in 1 go for 7 mana. I am considering a plan with Loyal Retainers to use Elesh as well. I can't really hardcast it but I might be able to find ways to use it as a reanimator target. You hardly need any other plan to fight aggro strategies and Elesh is a super nice clock and gives protection against -2/-2 effects. The effect as it is without looking to mana cost is one of the most desired effects for the deck idea's I pursue. Finding a smooth way to get it in play would be nice. Cavern/Retainer would be uncounterable, the trick is to get it into the graveyard. Maybe it is as simple as Entomb.

That may work.  I just swapped it straight up with the Battlesphere since I am one of the Tinker-cursed among us (Robot always in hand, always flips Colossus to Bob FTL), figuring since I'm always paying 7 I might as well do something more definitive.  I didn't dedicate any thought to cheating her into play as it wasn't necessary.  Bomberman shells can ramp like crazy.  Glad you are becoming more fond of the Cenobite!

Cenobite is a beast. When I've faced it, it was devastating. And the casting cost is not impossible to pay (but somebody could argue that the cost is too high against mana denial decks).

What about mirror entity? It's a beautiful human, that can use lots of mana for a quick kill. It dies to any removal and is affected by revoker, but can it deserve a spot in a humans deck with lots of mana?

Mirror Entity is a solid finisher in a Fish deck like Guli's.  I tend to not deal much damage to people these days until the finale.  Good suggestion for aggro though.

Im so used to either auto-include 4x Force of Will or none at all for so long, that I couldnt wrap my head around Brian kelly's list only running 2 in the whole 75.

Interesting list. Congrats on the finish.

Also, good to see Bomberman take first again Wink

If you haven't noticed Kohler doesn't play Bomberman anymore. He cut Salvagers and the Spellbomb from the deck.

He still did in to me in Elmira. Turn 1 Lotus, Crypt,  Jace, Top and fetchland. You know, business as usual.
