We had 14 show. I don't remember all the rounds very well with blow by blow detail, but I'll get out at least a synopsis:

Round 1 Tez 1-2
I won the middle round and mulled ot four on the last round and rolled over and died. He blew me out game 1 with Tinker+Colossus.

Round 2: 2-0
It was the mirror against my play test partner, pretty annoying. i landed early metal workers in both games and he couldn't get to a revoker in time.

Round 3: 2-1
I beat a SFM deck that looked like a 3 color control deck out of Legacy, kind of cool and a hardcast batterskull pretty much owned me game 1. Chalices and spheres, some very lucky chalices, game 2/3 get me there.

Round 4: 2-1
Tez. Very close games except for g1 when dude blows me out with t2 tinker+colossus. I get chalice for 3 one game and chalice two agianst Hurkylls.

Round 5-Draw into top 4

Top4
I beat a Gush storm deck in 2, it looks like a pretty goood match up for Stax.

Finals: 2-1
I avenge my only loss from round 1. I get blown out g1 with Tinker, game 2 I edge out with enough spheres, game 3 I think my opponent takes a risky keep that doesn't really develop for him and  get there.

The List:

Factory X4
City X2

8 SoLolMox

Thank you for posting this. Good to see Vintage still happens here in TX. Too bad I found out about this too late and it is quite a distance from SA, TX, or else definitely would have been there.

We have local sanctioned vintage but nobody owns power but a few, so, looks a bit more like Legacy  Sad and nobody plays anymore. Very Few like legacy here.

So, anywho. Congrats on the finish Smile
Any chance T.O. will post lists?

Thanks!! I don't know if the TO will post the lists this time around, but I'll ask about that in the future. They do Vintage twice a month up there or maybe once a month, pretty regular unlimited proxy etc. We're trying to build this event into a quarterly 1K or equivalent, with unlimited proxies to support attendance. I'll advertise the hell out of the next one when we get around to it:)
thanks!

It's unfortunate that Texas is so damn big, since we have been firing an unlimited proxy event monthly in south Louisiana for about a year.  About 5 of us are able to play sanctioned too, but man that is a long drive for us.

Perhaps one day though we'll be able to make the trip and play with you guys.

Hopefully if we can get it up to 1K range it can be worth the trip, we'd love to have you:)

We are going to be making the trip to the monthly Power tournament series in League City on the 28th (for Legacy though).  Not sure if any of you guys are into Legacy or want to make that long a drive (again Texas is ununfathomably large to me, but I think that is further from you than it is from us) but if so, we'll all have our Vintage on us.

We alll play legacy too but I don't think we can make it to League City. Thats about 4 hrs away from us. We will be going to eternal weekend, at least 4-6 of us, and we'll do the Legacy and the Vintage there, if any of you guys make it to that we should get some games in:)
cheers
