It's not a good Oath target and is too expensive to reliably hardcast, but with the amount of tutors and fetches played in Vintage, this card is an astounding beating.

Designed by Brad Muir, creator of Psychonauts and Brutal Legend.

Brutal Legend indeed.

I saw this, but I discounted it because your Oath target should win the game, not be a disruptive element.

This card is fun, but he's got some pretty stiff competition.  He's 4BB, so we're only seeing him off Oath and Show and Tell.  If you're doing that, you have cards that essentially win the game on the spot (Grislebrand, Emrakul, etc).  What is the benefit to having your Oath target disrupt instead of just win?

If there was a way to flash him onto the battlefield in response to a search ala Mincensor, then you'd be cooking with gasoline.  The only way I can think of is Lure of Prey or Flash.  Even then, a two-card combo to do damage to your opponent seems worse than a two-card combo that just wins.

I suppose he's a pretty good target to tutor up with Maralen of the Mornsong in some casual black deck.

I have seen Grizzlebee ritualed in before. His abilities are all perfect for the format, its just the CC. The only place i could see this being played if ever would be some sorta dark times deck that ran ritual acceleration, but even then it would probably be better to drop an obliterater instead.
