Looks like a new artifact sweeper. Could see play in Shops decks, maybe as a 1-of or 2-of. A bit costly, but unconditional sweepers are always interesting, and Shops can generate the mana pretty easily for this. Thoughts?

A bit costly, but unconditional sweepers are always interesting, and Shops can generate the mana and recur this with Buried Ruin. Thoughts? I loved this the second I saw it! It seems like an amazing sweeper in an espresso list along side smokestack.

Also note: can't recur with buried ruin, as you must exile it.

The activation cost renders this unplayable.

So it's an oblivion stone for 1 more mana that exiles instead of destroys. How much play has oblivion stone seen in vintage? Next!

Agreed. This likely isn't good enough as Oblivion Ring and Nevinyrral's Disk are both arguably better and do not see much play. That said, I want a foil.

This card is not exciting at all. Oblivion Stone 2.0. Whoop-de-doo. And this is coming from someone who actually liked Soul of New Phyerxia!
I do think it's a fine card for EDH, since it gives you another "blow up the world" effect. So sure, foils are good. But in Vintage? C'mon now.

Upon second glance, I just realized this is a worse Oblivion Stone, basically. Delete this thread!

Minor Caveat: Exiling Ichy and friends is much preferred to sending them to the grave. Fact is, you're probably too late if that's what you're using this for. Still, probably better than Oblivion Stone.

No. I'm not going to delete this thread. I'm going to lock this thread and leave it right here for everyone to see.
Let this thread be a monument to rash, impulsive posts involving new cards.
Not every single card that Wizards churns out is going to be worthy of consideration for Vintage play.
Please spent at least a half-minute thinking about whether a new card is actually even remotely close to playable.
That way, you will spare all of us from having to wade through train-wrecks like this in the future.
Thank you.
