Not completely sure what the meta breakdown was, but there was a large amount of shops, 4 made it to top 8 including myself, and at least 2 other shops players.

I lost r1 to blue belcher that had counters (force, pact, misd and COMANDEER...) and quick wins.  Then I beat a shop mirror, then I won close games against the 8th place finisher Ryan, then beat up on DDay on camera to lock a top 8 spot.  In top 8 I beat Richard, where he killed himself game 1 with bobs and mana crypt and game 2 a quick uncounterable lodestone plus wastes into hardcast sundering titan took that game.  Against the eventual winner Josh I almost had g3 but lost a crucial crypt role that took me to lethal from a battlesphere attack, otherwise a wurmcoil engine would have stabalized me and another would have won the game... luck happens.

I really like the deck, but I think I will test out terra nova in the near future since this list is really a dog to resolved null rod.  A decent amount of my mana cheats (ie all but shop and tomb) are killed by it and there is no way to get rid of it (I don't think spine is reasonable since rod already cuts your mana off).

Big thanks to Josh for typing up all the lists, and to Mills for getting up the youtube clips!

It's super sweet to see a very familiar worker list in the top 8 , twice!   Wink
The 8th place list looks to be Terranova, not mud.
Props to Josh and the rest of the top!

Talking with him he said that he started with a mud list w/ 4 dismembers and slowly moved towards terra nova.

And yes, your list runs great.  I was able to hardcast a turn 2 bsc against my r2 mud opponent, and almost had it again against Ryan until he revokered my worker.  Fun times.

I am glad it put a smile on your face! Remember BSC loves a new pair of kicks!
What did you face during this event?  How were cavern and boots for you ?

To expand;
r1 belcher
g1 I won the die roll, went first and tried to chalice at 1 but got forced.  He then turn 1'ed me on his turn.
g2 I had a t1 thorn, then he plays a city of traitors and 2 moxen.  On my turn I try to cast ratchet bomb to blow up his mana but he comandeers it.  2 turns later he has a big mana advantage and blind belches me ftw.

r2 mud
g1 saw a turn 2 hardcast bsc off a worker
g2 he leads with a t1 metalworker, I respond on my turn with a revoker but he had the dismember and worker slowly won him the game. g3 saw a t1 wurmcoil on my side followed by waste which ended the game with a quickness.

r3 terra nova-ish
g1 my t1 metalworker into t2 bsc plan got revoked, my lodestone got dismembered and i got beat down by 2 power critters
g2 I had everything set up to forgemaster out bsc but waited a couple turns to draw an extra artifact so I wouldn't have to sac my boots since he had a maze of ith in play.  Well those turns saw a null rod so I was on the beatdown plan with a booted up forgemaster and a revoker on floral spuzzam.  The boots won me that game.
g3 saw an epic back and forth with hime burying us both in spheres until I resolved a crucible and multiple trades in combat leading to me having a slight edge until he dropped the darksteel Juggernaut.   I then had to get out a forgemaster, chump with my lodestone and tinker up a duplicant to kill it.  From there I was able to eek out a win with a second forgemaster and crucible to lock him under his own spheres.

r4 DDay
I'd like to say these were eventful but he only cam close to having enough mana to win the game in g1 but I drew a waste on the crucial turn, winning off uncounterable golems.  These games were on camera, so they should be on yt soon, same with the next 2 matches.

t8r1 Esper Tezz
g1 I didn't really do anything, I tried to revoker a mana crypt but it got swords'ed.  Then his crypt and bob dealt 19 points of damage and I had an uncounterable worker on my side of the table that could attack ftw or play an uncounterable forgemaster, but he drew an extra card and got the game loss anyway.  g2 he couldn't do anything as lodestone did its thing.

t8r2 nwms
I honestly can't remember much of these other than both boots and caverns did serious work in the first 2 games, and I could have won g2 if I had won my final crypt flip by forge'ing out wurcoil but lost it and nothing would save me from the battlesphere beats.  g3 he countered my early lock piece and vault key'ed me.

Great event, I enjoyed playing in it. I just spent half an hour writing out a report and then somehow hit a wrong key or something and lost it. I don't really feel like typing it all out again. Happy to have made top 4, I regret my keep in game 3 against bug fish. I shouldn't keep such a questionable hand on the play against a favorable matchup.
