I just received a a very nice (signed) ancient tomb and sol ring. The deck I spend the most time with is doomsday. I'd like to play the sol ring and ancient tomb in doomsday. I can't for the life of figure out a situation why this would ever be a good decision from a deck building view, but I'd like to get as close as I can.
Does anyone have suggestions for under what circumstances I could see benefit from these cards in Doomsday? (Maybe to shore up the workshop match? Support snapcaster/clique/cage?)

I usually play Sol Ring in my sideboard against workshops. If you maybe wanted to support a Tinker plan, it'd be reasonable to have something like:

Lotus
BUG Moxen
Petal
Crypt
Sol Ring

Not saying you necessarily want this, but if it was a plan (particularly a post-board plan), Sol Ring is good here.

I personally feel that Ancient Tomb is better than Sol Ring In Doomsday. It serves the same purpose (excepting Tinker), but isn't affected by chalice or sphere.
