Saturday 20th of December we held the yearly (Invitation only) Finals tournament. 37 players had a spot in the tournament, but only 33 showed up. So we had 6 rounds of Swiss and we knew some people with 4-2 could make it into the top8 (and so they did).
We had an Arcade machine with all the old school games as a side event
After 4 rounds, just 2 players are 4-0: Javier De Grandes (URW Gush Aggro) and Eduard Castro (UR Gush Aggro) who ID, rest of the tables have to play it out.
With 5th round on the records, we see only tables 1 and 2 can draw into the top8. This means 4 spots are open for the fight.
-Ambrojo with Topther Fantasy wins versus Ferran Relat with UW Blade.
-Marc Bertolín with UR Gush Aggro wins versus Miguel Ángel Diaz with UR Moon Control.
-Carlos Fernández with Auriok Oath wins versus Tomas Winand with Grisel Oath.
-Oscar Merino with RUG Gush Aggro wins versus Cobos with Grixis control.
After Round 6, here are the final standings:
Miquel Alcoriza with UW Bomberman ends in 9th place due to bad tie breakers.
Highlight of the day:
Sergi Hernández drew 14 cards with a Griselbrand while facing a Show and Telled Consecrated Sphinx from Ferran Relat get joined by a Jace to seal the party deal. Relat drew 28 cards. No pics were taken unfortunatelly
