once again on a date I will be out of town. That is also the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. Not all vintagers may be hard college basketball fans like myself but that could affect turnout.

New comer here, couldn't make it for last one but I'll definitely be here this time. Can't wait to play some insane Vintage games and meet the norcal vintage community.

Wish I were still in the Bay Area for these, although I am sure that Steve would wreck me in top 8 every time. Some things never change!

Everyone have a blast. Vintage at Eudo is always a great time.

Awesome.  Looking forward to see some new faces.  The Bay Area is one of the historical hotbeds of the format going back to the 90s, so it's great to have new blood keeping that tradition going.  Welcome Smile

Is this vintage tournament monthly, or 4 times a year, or just whenever someone decides to make it happen?  Trying to decide if I can get something worth playing together in time for next weekend or not.  But if there is not going to be any other vintage tournaments for 4 months maybe I'll just have to do what I can.

That's a good question without a good answer.  I'd say we are roughly quarterly to 3 times a year.  Although I think we only had 3 Vintage events at Eudo last year (one of which top 8 was unreported). Reported results are here: http://morphling.de/top8decks.php?id=2005

You can see all the Berkeley tournaments and spacing on right hand frame.

I remember there being four, but that isn't super relevant. Has there been any thought to making them a bit more frequent; maybe six times a year? There are stores on the East Coast that hold events monthly. Monthly tournaments sound a little too infrequent given the limited playerbase we have, but two months is a surprisingly lengthy period of time. If the dates are picked well is there any reason that we couldn't get strong turnouts with this frequency of events? Are there some people who would be against this?

Well that's no good I just ebayed a bunch of vintage cards but looks like they are not going to be here until next week, and it's sad that I have to wait 4 months for another vintage event to roll around in the area.

(side note I have been playing vintage online and it got me wanting to get back into some paper games again so I know how to play just don't have the decks yet grr)

Nosferatu, send me a PM and let me know what you are missing. I can let you borrow enough cards to make a deck.

Looks like, thanks to the generosity of BC, I will have a deck to play and be able to make it on Saturday.  I'm driving down from the Reno area and if anyone wants to carpool along the way it's not a problem for me to pick them up.

There are many of us who can assemble 2-3 extra decks (each) given the 15 proxy nature.  If you got other buddies from Reno who want to play, just let us know, and we can probably make it happen.
