Team Serious in Columbus is hosting another great event on 30 January, featuring a Legacy/Vintage split event on Saturday. This will be held during the Standard portion of the SCG Open in Columbus, so bring your Legacy playing friends!

The details:

WHAT: Legacy/Vintage! Tournament

Entry is $20 - CASH ONLY

Six rounds of Swiss then cut to top 8:
- 3 Rounds of Legacy
- 3 Rounds of Vintage
- Top 8 will be Legacy

Decklists will be collected for both formats. The Legacy deck you register for Swiss will also be your deck for the final rounds.

WHEN: Saturday, 30 January 2016, NOON (12 p.m.) ET

The store opens and registration starts at 11:30 AM. Registration will close and the tournament begins at 12:00 PM, sharp. To save time, consider typing or writing up your decklists ahead of time.

Also, this is an hour earlier than our previous Vintage tournaments. Don't be late!

And it's on Saturday! Don't show up on the wrong day! You can still play Legacy or Modern in the SCG Open on Sunday!

WHERE: Comic Town!
COMICTOWN
1249 Morse Road  Columbus, OH 43229
(614) 262-5006

If you need to car pool to Columbus, post your needs and we'll find someone with whom you can travel. I'll start a signup if necessary.

PRIZES:

GUARANTEED 100% cash payout

If less than 16 players
1st Place: 40%
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 15%
4th Place: 15%

If more than 16 players
1st Place: 40%
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 15%
4th Place: 15%
5-8th Place: $20
(Percentages paid out after cash.)

Prizes will increase if turnout allows!

PLAYTEST CARDS: UNLIMITED PLAYTEST CARDS will be permitted in both formats (Legacy and Vintage). This is to facilitate player entry for the event as well as transitioning between the two formats. (That is, you won’t have to deconstruct your Legacy deck completely if it shares cards with Vintage or vice versa.)

There are THREE ways of making playtest cards:

1) The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it.
2) PREFERRED! The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being tested and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics. See: http://forums.starcitygames.com/viewtopic.php?t=291560 for more details on how to do this.
3) the third is to print out all 75 cards, and slip the sheet of paper into each sleeve. If you do this, every card must be a paper printout.

Let's do this!
