I was skimming through one of my friends rare binders and I came across this Exodus rare.

Manabond - G
Enchantment

During your discard phase, you may choose to put all land cards from your hand into play. If you do, discard the rest of your hand.

I quickly traded for the card thinking to myself how broken this card would be in conjunction with madness cards. Ever since the restriction of Lion's Eye Diamond, madness decks have been waiting for a card to make a comeback with. I think Manabond may very well be that card. Manabond makes it so if you draw it in your opening hand you're able to unload your entire hand during your discard phase. A first turn 4/4 flying haste followed by a second turn 6/6 flying haste is nothing to scoff at. Here I provide you with a decklist:

Mana:25
4 Tropical Island
4 Taiga
4 Wooded Foothills
3 Volcanic Island
4 City of Brass
1 Lion's Eye Diamond
1 Black Lotus
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Ruby
1 Sol Ring

Broken Cards:15
4 Bazaar of Baghdad
4 Manabond
1 Windfall
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
1 Wheel of Fortune
2 Deep Analysis
1 Quiet Speculation

Creatures:18
4 Basking Rootwalla
4 Arrogant Wurm
4 Roar of the Wurm
3 Wonder
3 Anger

Other:2
2 Cursed Scroll

Sideboard:15
2 Cursed Scroll
3 Red Elemental Blast
3 Blue Elemental Blast
2 Naturalize
4 Tormod's Crypt
1 Ray of Revelation

Here I will take the time to explain some of my card choices.

Roar of the Wurm: I have this card in the deck in addition to the madness cards as a fat beatstick. Flashback cards work just as well as some madness cards. I'm usually able to cast this first or second turn depending if I draw a Manabond.

Cursed Scroll: I have these in the deck because it has good synergy with Manabond. Discarding all my madness creatures to Manabond usually leaves me top decking so what better card to take advantage of the situation than Cursed Scroll.

Quiet Speculation: Finds Deep Analysis and Roar of the Wurm and puts them in the graveyard.

Wonder & Anger: Gives my creatures flying and haste. Good against Sui Black and Sligh and any weenie deck with mostly ground creatures.

Tormod's Crypt: I have them in the sideboard against Dragon. I nice zero drop so I don't have to worry about it being a dead card in hand.

Ray of Revelation: Mainly used against any pesky enchantments such as Form of the Dragon or Future Sight. I nice card that I can discard and still use. Quiet Speculation bait.

Well, there it is. Feel free to post any suggestions and comments. Thanks.

I've seen Manabond suggested before and tried it myself, and my honest opinion is that it's garbage. But if it works for you, all the power to you.

I am not sure if this build takes full advantage of the red splash. You have Anger, which is obviously *the* reason to play red, and REB in the board is solid too. But access to removal is also important. Fiery Temper has much better synergy with the deck than does Cursed Scroll.

I noticed that you are not running Wild Mongrels. I think this is a big mistake.

Anything else I would have to say about this build I've touched on before in the primer written by myself and Brad Granberry. You can find the original here, and the post-January update here.
