"Hey all,

I've been out of magic exept for the theory side for quite a few years now.  I've managed to keep up with the cards, and still have my old collection, as well as a few games on apprentice here and there.

I'm now looking to get back into the game again.  My question is though, what is the best way to find out about tournaments around my area?  I've looked at the tournaments forum, and haven't seen anything, and a google search didn't give rise to much.  Also, I don't know any game stores around here that sell singles.  Is there a good online place for finding listings of stores that have tournaments in what areas, etc.

Secondly, I know it's not great to playtest only on apprentice, however it's better than not playing at all.  Where is the best place to locate random opponents for playtesting or to meet solid players to playtest against in order to develop a deck.  Where do the magic players hang out online, and are any of those particular hang-outs more geared towards type 1?

Lastly, I'm now in the Seattle area, if anyone around here knows about the scene, tournaments, the metagame, etc, please send me a pm.
