1  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Is this forum dead? on: December 19, 2006, 05:20:44 am
Exactly.  I personally gave up after a few months.  Making cards is fun, but it feels pointless now we aren't doing anything with them...
2  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Is this forum dead? on: December 13, 2006, 11:43:18 pm
No card has been added to the master list since late June.  This is the main reason that I, for one, stopped coming here.

Perhaps it is time for someone else to take over...
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 13, 2006, 04:34:24 pm
someone give me conformation that this works or does not please!
4  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Mini Shahrazad, but not on: October 10, 2006, 12:25:48 pm
NO SUBGAMES PLEASE!

Has anyone ever had fun when you were forced into a magic subgame?
5  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Yawgmoth, Emperor of Evil on: October 10, 2006, 12:23:12 pm
For one thing, I don't think that Yawgmoth should get a card.  He was a friggin' god for crying out loud!

Also, what is up with that card drawing ability.  Just let that part die.  I think that the graveyard effect is enough...
6  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 10, 2006, 12:21:36 pm
"Whenever an instant or sorcery that targets a single player or permanent is put on the stack, that player instead targets each player or permanent that spell could target."

Does this wording work?
7  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 03, 2006, 04:33:37 pm
if we make it a radiate enchantment, not only is it going to be wordy, but it will have to be red.

But i guess that is just what we are going to have to do...

What should the wording be then?
8  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 03, 2006, 01:36:49 pm
I am satisfied in this just killing each creature or enchantment.  I just wanna get this thing made.
9  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 03, 2006, 12:29:51 pm
Ok, I think that parallax's wording is probably the closest, but we can shorten it.

Whenever a player plays a spell with a single target, change the text of that spell by replacing all instances of the noun "target" with "each".  That spell no longer has any targets.
10  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 02, 2006, 09:45:13 pm
why not?  Arc Lightning targets multiple things.  I think that this wording works.
11  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: October 02, 2006, 12:10:37 am
ok ok ok i'm sure that we can figure this out.

Whenever a player plays an instant or sorcery with a single target, that spell instead targets each legal target.

What do you think?  Does that work?
12  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: September 29, 2006, 02:27:05 am
I really don't want to make this a radiate enchantment, I would rather make this a replacement enchantment.

I really think that since this replaces text it should stay blue, but if noone else things that, then i s'pose it could be red.

Changes made~!
13  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Another Basic land on: September 27, 2006, 03:20:06 am
what about making it a Legendary Basic Land?  Is that conceiveable?
14  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Microscopic Universe on: September 27, 2006, 03:19:00 am
I am not leaning toward creating copies, I am attempting to make it a replacement effect.  I want this thing to make Mortify to basically say "Destroy all creatures and enchantments"

I am not sure yet if it is doable or not though.  It may need reminder text or something....
15  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Ritual Redux on: September 27, 2006, 03:15:54 am
The rule that states that Black cannot have Dark Rituals can be found here:  http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/rb109

I think that the arguement of whether or not black can have a ritual can be over now, because Randy Buehler states himself that black should not have access to it.
16  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Microscopic Universe on: September 26, 2006, 09:55:08 pm
Microscopic Universe
{3} {U} {U}
Enchantment
If a spell or ability would only have one target, it instead targets every legal target.
I've got the whole world in my hands.

I know that this thing is powerful, but i think that the cost fits the effect.  Upheaval costs 6.  Micro Universe and Boomerange costs 7.  Pyroclasm costs 2.  Micro Universe and Shock costs 6.

Anyways, I think I proved my point...

CURRENT WORDING:

Microscopic Universe
{3} {U} {U}
Enchantment
Whenever a player plays an instant or sorcery with a single target, that spell instead targets each legal target.
I've got the whole world in my hands.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Ritual Redux on: September 26, 2006, 09:45:56 pm
...wait a minute!

I thought that black don't get rituals anymore!
18  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: mushroom stamp on: September 22, 2006, 11:25:28 pm
first of all, this definatly is overcosted.  Perhaps {1} {R} or {R} {R} would suffice.

As for name, perhaps Fatal Flaw or somethin like dat...
19  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Lasting Legacy on: September 19, 2006, 11:48:30 am
ok, changed the wording to make it more interesting, but now it has to specify green creatures only.
20  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Lasting Legacy on: September 12, 2006, 07:24:54 pm
Lasting Legacy
{2} {G} {G}
Enchantment
When a green creature you control is put into a graveyard from play, you may remove it from the game.  If you do, you may put a green creature from your hand into play at end of turn with converted mana cost less than the converted mana cost of the removed creature.

Since I am posting this from college, I will only be able to check up on it once a week.

Pattern of Rebirth was the biggest inspiration for this card, but i think it being an enchantment can lead to some fun casual style decks.  I don't think that this could lead to any real degenerate style decks, because of how narrow it actually is, but perhaps we could drop the whole green restriction.

CURRENT WORDING:

Lasting Legacy
{2} {G} {G}
Enchantment
When a green creature you control is put into a graveyard from play, you may remove it from the game.  If you do, reveal the top cards of your library until you reveal a green creature with converted mana cost less than the converted mana cost of the removed creature.  Put the revealed creature into play and the rest of the revealed cards on the bottom of your library in any order.
21  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Magical Curfew on: August 28, 2006, 02:26:05 am
I would like this to remand the spells instead of countering then, and for it to get back into its correct color.

That one is my favorite too, because of the subtle wording that prevents it from being crazy.

At best, this gives you two mana and draws you a land.

At worst, this draws you a nonland and no mana.
25  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Final Cards: Part 2 on: August 25, 2006, 03:39:45 am
Here are some other possibliities that would make sure that it isn't crazy broken

Prismatic Reverie
{1} {G}
Instant
Reveal the top card of your library.  If it is a land card, add two mana of any combination of colors to your mana pool.

Draw a card.

Prismatic Reverie
{1} {G}
Instant
As an additional cost to playing Prismatic Reverie, discard a land card from your hand.

Add two mana of any combination of colors to your mana pool.

Draw a card.

{2} {G}

26  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: subgame card on: August 25, 2006, 03:33:44 am
I agree.  Subgames are thumbs down IMO.
27  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Final Cards: Part 1 on: August 24, 2006, 08:56:19 pm
Lemme show you how Infernal Contract + Blood Bargain = Not a combo

Life: 20

Play Infernal Contract

Life: 10

Blood Bargain Activates

Life: 0

Anywho, just for security purposes, we'll keep this at 3BB.

Changed the wording so now it is all life lose, but in addition, the card drawing is no longer optional.
28  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Final Cards: Part 1 on: August 24, 2006, 04:13:05 pm
is this ok as is or does this need to be costed at 4?
29  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Final Cards: Part 2 on: August 23, 2006, 12:25:47 am
damn...

What about we do something crazy, something that maybe shouldn't be done, but let's try to push the limits anyways?

Prismatic Reverie
{1} {G}
Instant
Add two mana of any combination of colors to your mana pool.

Draw a card.

Too good?
30  Vintage Community Discussion / Card Creation Forum / Re: Final Cards: Part 2 on: August 21, 2006, 10:10:40 pm
I would much rather keep it as a "zero costing instant", but if noone else likes it, mebby we could add the cantrip and lose the +1...
