1  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Goodbye TML on: November 15, 2009, 11:07:29 am
Considering i am a new member of the Mana Drain family and have been reading / learning so much over the past few days I have noticed many forums here had a last post June 09 or later soo...  still a sad thing ... Someone should start a specific legacy board within casual..  shouldnt be a problem right?

I dunno. I just dusted off my legacy deck. Isnt there a GP comming?

White splash looks so terrible. Cut that shit for, like, red. Red gives you Fanatic which is WAY better than Street Wraith, and probably Clasm or something, I don't know.
Edge of Autumn + Flagstones is a key engine.  Besides, white looks sexier when you replace Dryad with Mystic Enforcer.

I tend to disagree, to my experience, land and sorcery are always in the yard nowdays, so they dont actually boost anything.

Hey, I wish I had weekly legacy tournaments!

I can only read 2 pyroclasms in your board!

8  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Report] So You've Finally Done Well Enough To Write A Report.. on: December 18, 2006, 03:47:50 pm
Duress + Hymn to Tourach + Hypnotic Scepter ensure that you discard it.

And plus, what (good) decks run Pyroclasm?

That is irrelevant, so a top decked pyroclasm is good?

I am not asking this question as a player of said deck, but as a deckbuilder who ranks card based on how many good decks they crush.
9  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Report] First place at the meandeck legacy open on: December 18, 2006, 03:40:07 pm
I just brainfarted, I thought this was the BW player who got second that postet the winning list of the deck he had played against in the final, I must have missed when I clicked on his thread. Heh, I was pondering a bit, because replying about the deck he lost to was kinda off topic, but now it actually hit home, and the other part just missed totally Very Happy
10  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Report] So You've Finally Done Well Enough To Write A Report.. on: December 18, 2006, 03:37:07 pm
Hello! How does your deck respond to pyroclasm?
11  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: [Report] First place at the meandeck legacy open on: December 18, 2006, 03:24:28 pm
oh yeah,

//Land
        2 Island
        2 Swamp
        4 Flooded Strand
        4 Polluted Delta
        2 Underground Sea
        1 Scrubland
        1 Tundra

//Fast mana
        4 Lotus Petal
        4 Cabal Ritual
        4 Dark Ritual
        4 Lion's Eye Diamond

//Combo
        4 Ill-Gotten Gains
        3 Tendrils of Agony

//Disruption
        4 Leyline of the Void
        1 Wipe Away

//Search
        4 Mystical Tutor
        4 Brainstorm
        4 Intuition
        4 Infernal Tutor
//Sideboard
        4 Orim's Chant
        3 Defense Grid
        4 Chain of Vapor
        1 Wipe Away
        1 Sudden Death
        2 Hurkl's Recall

I didn't use the control part of the board all day.

Good job with the report and the high finnish! And I just goldfished the Iggy deck 4 times, the first 2 draws I won on turn 2, the third was a bit harder, but the last one I got what I would call a turn 1 kill, first turn Leyline, then ritual ritual ill gotten gains, opponent got no hand and I am holding mystical, brainstorm and I pick up the fetch land. Heh.

How does your deck respond to pyroclasm?
12  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Any Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish people reading this Legacy board? on: December 14, 2006, 08:44:08 am
I live in Sweden. A Nordic Legacy Championship would be awsome. The trouble is to get people to actually show up. I would say that Gothenburg is the Magic-center of Sweden and easily accesible by train from both Oslo and Copenhagen.

I totally agree, I think we should spread the word, and see if there is any interest beyond those who read these boards, I guess there are more people that play legacy or are interested in playing than those who read these boards.

I know Bram, Morefling, Pyro, CF and some others are in the area you speak of, but I don't know if they actually play the format instead of just being interested in it.

As a reference, for Legacy tournaments, you should check out Morphling.de, I'm not sure if Oli still updates the site (He's said he does, then doesn't enough times for a person to forget his position), but that's usually where I hear about the European tournies going on.

I know about CF, we have played aginst each other quite a bit Smile

15  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Any Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish people reading this board? on: December 12, 2006, 06:50:12 am
I'm danish. So is Zeus-Online and I know there are a couple others in here. Some of them don't write in the boards but read them.

- meanee

Cool, I want to see how many there are of "us". It would be cool to have a "Scandinavian open Legacy tournamet" or anything similar.
16  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Re: Any Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish people reading this board? on: December 12, 2006, 06:48:02 am
Are you specifically looking for Legacy players from those countries, or Eternal players in general? If Legacy, this is the correct board, but if Eternal, this belongs elsewhere.

I was thinking of Legacy, I will change my post.
17  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Any Norwegian, Sweedish or Danish people reading this Legacy board? on: December 12, 2006, 06:18:11 am

20  Vintage Community Discussion / Non-Vintage / Legacy in Milan this weekend, anyone know of a tourney? on: November 29, 2006, 07:03:12 am
I am traveling to Milan with some friends, and I just wondered if anybody know of a legacy tourney this weekend (1-4 dec.)

My internet at my school forbids me to visit any sites with games, but luckily TMD still works for me...

What is a "pro" Is it a well know player? A guy with PT points, is there a minimum etc?
24  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Re: Gifts with Flame-Vault on: November 01, 2005, 11:39:17 am
Its the gifts ungiven that wins you the game, what cards you personally like to gifts for is irrelevant as long as they are capable of winning the game.

Gift is broken!
