Glad to see you upped the proxy count for this one Carl, as it should help bring a few more people who wouldn't otherwise have had any interest (who want's to play sub-optimal decklists anyway?).
I won't be able to make this one tho, but would love to see these proxy events become a monthly thing. You know my thoughts here Carl: hold these often so people don't forget about how much fun they had at the last one!

i tested it in Ad Naus but found it was too much of a tempo loss, and i almost never want to fetch out island in that deck - bassically it just isn't needed in that deck, as the cards you would cut are soo much better than sleight (dark confidant).

usually, you play turn 1 or 2 null rod, then you strip some land, then you beat with bad creatures winning the majority of matches on the back of null rod.
Not so difficult to imagine.
LOL - yeah I imagine that's how most games go... I guess i was wondering what he played against, how the card choices worked out (Reef Shaman?) etc. etc. why would anyone play this vs. non-mono U fish (other than wanting to actually play fish!)

Ray, This sounds rad, I wish I could be there.... I'm trying my hardest to be ready for Gencon this year, which means no Chicago and unfortunatly no TMD Open either, but one of these days I will make it out there for sure - I know Fuckin' Lou would be down for a road trip, and I'm sure we can round up some more of the colorado guys, but not this time Thanks anyway for helping to keep the scene alive! Bonus Math Question: Prove that the short exact sequence of Z-modules: 2 pi 0 --> Z --> Z --> Z/2Z --> 0 does not split (where 2 denotes multiplication by 2, pi is the canonical projection map, and Z is the integers)

the SB is missing 2 pithing needle. Gifts is stupid good and i would never cut it. i love giftsing for ad naus, acall, demonic, vampiric, or just 4x tutor, or mana, etc, etc. intuition seems kinda good too, needs testing. i was hoping this list wouldn't have been published

I keep looking at the bobs in your list and keep saying they cant be that good. Then I look for replacement cards and realize there arent any cards that seem better than bob. Then I test the deck with bob for a while and realize he is very good in the deck.
I still cant wrap my head around the fact that bobs are good in the deck, even with the proof before my eyes. Awesome job putting them in and winning with them, I never even would have considered them in a deck this fast.
Yeah, BOB adds a whole different angle of attack for the deck - FISH STORM FTW!!!

Steve, Really enjoied your articles (WOTC and SCG). Thanks for the kind words I'm just a little concerned people will start testing Ad Naus some more now, and it will start catching on in other metagames... once people realize how sick the card is, the restriction timer will start ticking down for Ad Naus. Prediction: 2009 year in review will discuss the restriction of Ad Naus @_@ Thanks again, Travis

Steve,
I don't think any of the top 8's for these events have been posted... I know Ed has been really busy with trying to leave for his Florida Trail trip, and furthermore we have not had more than 32 players for these events since the first one, so I don't think he was intending to post them.
I just won the Time Vault on the event on the 4th, using a similar list from the first event (+/- a few cards). I would post my list, but due to the request of teammates I must respectfully refuse.
Thanks!
Travis

Timetwister is not the most desireable/played card, but the point of the tourney should be to get together with friends and catch a bu..., I mean have a good time and play some Magic. Am I wrong? I don't see any reason to be whining about $15. I just wish I was there to play.
What's up to all my homies in the crew.
Good luck Trav.
Josh thanks for the support - wish you could make this one! I am fine with paying 15 for a twister, as it will be a blast slinging moxes all day. I think the whole point is to just try and build the scene and make sure that we keep holding these events. I heard from Ed yesterday we may be graced with the presence of CHRISTOPHER RUSH at this event, but nothing is finalized yet...
