Hi guys, for those who do not know me i am Ed Carey, Nick Coss told me i should finally post something on the drain.
I would like to thank Nick for a wonderful tourny, that Judge nick for running a great event, and thank all the players that i had a chance to see and talk to. It was nice to play vintage in a large tourny again. I have been busy with work and a new house for the last 2 years or so. I would like to say that i spent hours of testing on my list but i built it about a week prior. I know it looks weird. I got lucky against Paul in top 8 and Sam in top 4. If Paul named welder with that needle i was dead, and who actually casts a wurmcoil engine on turn 1??? i did it twice, once against Sam in top 4.

First off this is Ed Carey, incase anyone wondered.
I would like to thank both Mike Smith for running these events and Mike from AU for allowing us to play there. I am completely ok with the organizer of the event making money. If he didn't, he would not be able to hold it once a month. Mike i remember when you would get the same 12 poeple to attend every month. Now you over 30 regularly, you have a very competitive tourny every month. Most of your players play a waterbury and do well there. I know you had some bad tournies at the end of the year, hopefully you are able to recoup the money lost. Yes he did not gie away power, so what. He did give away some very nice condiiton vintage tutors in the main event, and the drain in the side. Personally i would like to see a little more of this. Maybe give away some workshops, if your numbers continue to stay where they are i would like to see 5th -8th get something for there time, usually something in the range of what they paid to play, but that is just a suggestion.
I issue this statement. For those of you that are within a 8-10 hour drive from philly and enjoy playing type 1, enjoy hanging out and talking about type 1, want to meet new players and friends. Come to one of these events. Hope to see everyone march 1st, i will be there with the usually gang of players i travel with.
