1  Eternal Formats / Creative / The best aggro-control option for todays meta? on: March 01, 2005, 08:09:18 pm
From playtesting, Im seeing this deck really excelling as a new Fish type deck. What could be dropped if Stax phases to smaller numbers in the board and main? Has anyone though of upping the creature count? Also Ray Of Revealation is some hott.
2  Eternal Formats / Creative / Is ww playable as a strong hate deck on: December 26, 2004, 11:40:22 am
Army Of Allah is savage. Lovin that Middle Eastern heritage. I also see this deck going in two directions. A Skullclamp and Standstill version. I could see the Skullclamp version faster as you want to keep sacrificing creatures and the Standstill more laid back and controlling laying men on with Vial. Then another debate I have is keeping it mono blue or mono white.
3  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Discussion] Building a Better Hate Deck, or RG Tempo on: December 19, 2004, 07:42:44 pm
Well for the Slaver match up, main deck or sideboard Ground Seal could do well. It is good in the Workshop, Slaver, and Dragon match ups. Also I think Mask should be dropped. Some other cards to consider are Magma Jet and Sylvan Library.
4  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Results] - Padova (Italy) 12/12 - 65 players on: December 19, 2004, 07:29:23 pm
Well even though White Weenie is mostly an awful deck, I think he won just out of the suprise factor and most likely skill too. It does run a crazy engine and Vial Very Happy , with lots of main deck and sideboard hate. Well I've seen TPS played in some regions like in Michigan and always does well in our weekly top 4's About Sarcatog....It's interesting, could prove some good maybe here.

Claws Of Gix? (think thats the name) Would be better as it costs 0, but then the deck does lose a considerable clock.
6  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: November 21, 2004, 12:34:56 pm
That would be the best solution but leave Spiketails. Notice they can always sacrifice to counter a spell, which in case your opponent does cast an Oath Of Druids sucessfully you can use it's effect anyways.

Well one thing I know the guy was wearing a hat. But this tournament was sweet and I can't wait till the next one.
8  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Report] Kalamazoo Compulsion Tournament 3rd/4th on: November 17, 2004, 02:00:11 pm
I dont believe it was Noah Wagner either. Isn't he the guy with the black hair? I thought it was the one guy with the hat who made it. So I know for a fact it wasn't Noah Wagner, as Charlie I believe he played the guy
9  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Report] Kalamazoo Compulsion Tournament 3rd/4th on: November 16, 2004, 05:14:42 pm
Yea, I definately know Bob did deck checks. I got screwed on my turning it in too early, and I forgot I had 3 Island instead of 2 Island 1 plain so I got a game loss. Was the Tog deck that top'd 8 run Scepters in it? I think the other deck to top 8 was 5/3 or some sort of Workshop deck.
10  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Report] Kalamazoo Compulsion Tournament 3rd/4th on: November 16, 2004, 02:00:16 pm
Well I played UW fish as a metagame answer towards combo and Oath. I played verus the one kid from Chicago who played it. It was a pretty balanced out meta. Does anyone have a T8 or deck list breakdown?
11  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Report] Kalamazoo Compulsion Tournament 3rd/4th on: November 15, 2004, 07:47:09 pm
I saw at least two Oath Decks and played one. Who was the person who was suppose to put Chris's broken TPS play against Oath.. that was crazy
12  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [Report] Kalamazoo Compulsion Tournament 3rd/4th on: November 15, 2004, 11:18:20 am
That was a crazy Tournament. I went 3-2 which was pretty good considering my first tournament. I would of maybe been 4-1 without my misregistered decklist. I am pretty sure the Dragon guy you played in the top four took the Complusion
13  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: November 02, 2004, 04:51:18 pm
Your right on that but if Oath becomes ever more popular then it is hyped then may be it might be a good choice. In my WTFr version I run three faeries and I'm always satisfied. Also considering if you need a main deck solution, as it is weakess(I swear I spelt that wrong) creature in the deck then bouncers or something else would be put in that spot. Other then that some solution is needed in the board.
14  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: October 31, 2004, 09:55:06 pm
I think Waterfront Bouncer would be a good choice. If you stifle Oath, would it still be destroyed? Also I think if we attack Oath from not being played could be major too. If that is not a good route then we go to  Waterfront Bouncer/ Echoing truth. Also, have you guys been satsified with Cloud Of Faeries. I might go down to two and run one Waterfront Bouncer in my URG build.
15  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / Type 1 tourney and my WTF/R Deck on: October 27, 2004, 05:05:53 pm
I wouldn't add any artifact mana at all unless it is an Mox Sapphire,Ruby,Pearl. I would also try to fit three Null Rods in as they can work wonders for you and your matchup verus stax. A good soloution I found verus Stax and decks like that for me is three Artifact Mutations and two Energy Flux. I would up the Wasteland count and try to fit five fetchs so you can easily access red and green sources.
16  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: October 26, 2004, 09:28:00 pm
I'd have to agree on the Mountain issue. I believe that right now in this metagame, verus decks such as TPS, Deathlong, Mono Blue, etc, the Red Fetch is not as great as it is verus Stax, the mirror and WTF/r were a stable yet pernament source of  red is needed to own the board. Yes the red fetch could be useful in the combo matchup to help your Gorilla Shamans, but a blue fetch would be just as or better as you can get mana for stifle etc.  To end my Mountain debate, I really only see it needed in metagames were the mirror and Workshop matches are plentiful.

On a sidenote, has anyone been having trouble verus Mono Blue? Have Back To Basics serverly damaged you?
17  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: October 26, 2004, 02:11:23 pm
I actually think an amount of both Red Elemental Blast and Blue Elemental blast are useful. But I would have to agree on Blue Elemental Blast being important as they protect/kill their main threats in the mirror which is major. I've played with an single Mountain when just Wastelands and the mirror were popular this summer, but also for my Goblin Vandals/Gorilla Shamans. I also don't know if it is good verus decks that run Back To Basics as Grim Lavamancer isn't the best verus mono blue. But then Shaman can take out their accel. Have you been having hard matchups verus TPS and Workshop based decks? Did you ever think that a green splash might be needed for River Boa and Artifact Mutations?
18  Eternal Formats / Miscellaneous / [DECK] Italian Gay Red Fish - looking for advice on: October 14, 2004, 06:21:14 am
How have your matches been? Specially against Workshop based decks?
One-line posts are unacceptable. Verbal warning.

How was Maze Of Ith for you? What did you board out for it? Did it ever dilute from your manabase? Would you rather have a boardsweeper (Firestorm) or Maze Of Ith in the Goblin,FCG, RG matches? Have you considered Daze to?

Yeah I heard that Kalamazoo tourneys are really high in Workshop decks so I got worried, I want to see what happens. I hope that didnt end up true. It seems alot of FCG aka red decks and control pop up.
