I'd like it to go to the person who finishes the highest, and is playing with Brainstorm.

Why didn't you just say i'd like it to go to first?
QFT, but what if by some series of tragedies something like Manaless Ichorid, Ponies, or RG Beatz wins it all?

It doesn't matter, as no mainstream Ichorid variants (manaless or otherwise) play Brainstorm, hence it wouldn't be awarded to 1st place.

By the way, I'm rolling down to this in the carpool with Mike, Twaun, and then Yangtime's crew it seems. Word.

Not only is this the last "Brainstorm Tournament", its the last chance for people who FIGHT brainstorm to have a good fight!

I look forward to seeing all of you GW aggro, Ichorid, & Red Shop Aggro contenders lashing into the Evil Blue Beastie like never before! For where else can you guarantee an even HIGHER amount of Blue being played than in New England, or in a Gushbond saturated meta?

At the "Trail of Tears - Blue is Dying - Emo'Fest 2008" End of the World CT, Enfield Event!!

Look forward to seeing y'all there, whether you are sporting handkerchiefs and mascara or pennants and pompoms.

Sad to have so many people spend so much gas just to drop like flies to New England's wrath.

Yeah, CT is lame.  But Enfield is five minutes from the MA border, and this state sells liquor till 11 AND on Sundays.

So who won?

The top 4 split the prizes and played it out for the glory. In the end, TPS' Ross Merriam took the whole thing down playing Mono Red Shop Aggro.

I just talked with Ross.  60 people day 2.  He made top 8 and lost to Jason Cleveland.  Top 4 day 2 was Shay/Cleveland/Soly/Jimmy Mc Carthy

Glad Ross won day 1, he definitely deserved it.

I'm also very glad scroll/gush didn't end its stay with a win.

Most of all, I'm glad Ross said this quote that made me almost fall off my chair...

"I pretty much knew I was going to win day 1 when I out got-there'd Jeremiah in our match in the swiss at 3-0"

- Dave

I won day II with Tyrant Oath. I'll really miss that deck. Huge Props to Travis for putting this thing together. I'll try to post something more substantive in the near future.

It was a pleasure seeing everyone this weekend, even if this humble Legacy guy did mediocre in your silly broken format.  Thanks again to Travis for putting this on, and thanks to the Moose Lodge for letting us close out the bar.  12 straight hours of drinking made Saturday a hell of a day for me!

Extremely well run event.  Bad beats, but good times and fun hanging out with the Moose-lodge folks.

Thanks Travis & Co.

Awesome seeing the Ohio crew again, even if Ponies couldn't crawl back and fight to the top. I was playing pretty badly, and should have configured my sideboard much differently, so I didn't really deserve to win anyway. It was made up by the sheer fun that was going on.

Although i think the tournament itself wasn't the most exciting thing ever. Ray stole the show with his oversized decks. Between some giant Chaos orbs a flippin' and some black and white dice a tumblin', people brought their own side events with them to make the day completely awesome. I wish I had the all UN-type4 stack to keep the silliness at a complete maximum.

Until next time!
