Vintage at Pandemonium

Our next monthly vintage event is coming up the second week in April.  As mentioned in previous posts these monthly events will be run in conjunction with our normal weekly tournaments which will allow for some changes namely the entry fee (see highlighted red below) also new monthly challenges!

This increased entry fee means the stakes are higher and will hopefully entice some people from farther away.  Pandemonium has some great vintage staples in their case so don't let the store credit fool you, this may very well be the tournament that gets you a new dual land or that fetch you've always wanted.

So come one come all and lets play some Vintage.

Pandemonium Books and Games
4 Pleasant Street
Cambridge, MA 02139

Saturday, April 14th
The event begins at 1pm. Registration starts between 12 and 12:30pm.
This is an unlimited proxy event!
$20 entry fee
Prizes in store credit scaling with attendance.
Decklists required.

Vintage Community Incentives:
    1. Carpool Bonus -> Bring a car with at least 2 other people in it and I will personally cover $5 off your entry fee.
    2. The Newbie Award -> First time playing in a vintage event?  Same as above.

This Months Challenge!
Metagame Buster - Awarded to the person with the most outlandish and creative deck in the room! *
*Decision up to my discretion, but largely based on community opinion

PROXY RULES:

Acceptable Proxy Methods:
    1. Full Card Printed on Card Stock.  (ie: you blanked a normal magic card and then ran it through a printer.)
    2. Clearly Hand written fully blank card.     (ie: You blanked a normal magic card and then neatly hand wrote all relevant information on it.)
    3. Relevant Information neatly written on a basic land with Sharpie
    4. Full card printed on a slip of paper and inserted into a sleeve. (Acceptable only if entire deck is proxied this way)

**Note: Relevant Information is defined as follows:
    1. Card Name
    2. Mana Cost
    3. Card type
    4. Full card text or a reasonable abbreviation
    5. Power/Toughness/Loyalty where applicable

Failure to provide adequate proxies will result in a game loss should a judge need to be called.  I hate to be so harsh on this, but a lot of players put a lot of time and effort into making their decks and expect some effort from their opponents.

If you have any questions regarding your proxies please approach myself or one of the other organizers or judges and have us check them before the tournament starts.

Required deck lists?

Proxy rules?

Not interested in spending my money here again to put up with shitty proxies and a skeez balls. It takes minimal effort to collect deck lists and have rules for proxies; allow print outs if they double sleeve and if they do not use the same as SCG - sharpie on a plains.

Otherwise in.

I will update the post later with some photos of acceptable proxies.  And if people would like me to collect deck lists I certainly will.  I'd usually just prefer not to have to write one up, but I have no issue collecting them.

OP Update coming soon...

Yeah, to echo that, there were some pretty atrocious proxies at the last event.  We need to up the standards.

BUMP!

OP updated to include proxy rule clarification.  Please let me know if this is sufficient.

I will attempt to upload pictures but the lack of spoiler tag makes that take up way too much space in the post.

Only nitpick I have is stressing that they are, "cleanly-written".

Late reply here, but thanks to all who came out yesterday,  I'm going to try and get a TO report done sometime today or tomorrow.  So stay tuned.  And remember Tuesday night vintage is only a couple of days away!
