I'm sorry, Miss Nanako. Looks like I won't be able to take you to the beach like I promised.

Jason Zheng (sp?) won this 150 man tournament with food chain goblins. Second was Steve Houdlette playing Grostill Very Happy (we'll get you the skinny on this deck in the next few days, it's a Hadley production)

The top 4 also included the craziest of Carls playing keeper and ? playing fish.

Other appearences in the top 8 included ANOTHER fish deck played by Hadley's own Dan Richardson Very Happy , A control slaver deck, and two others that I can't remember.

I'm sure lists will go up soon for top 8.
There were 10 standstill in the top 8, even more than the gp:DC event last weekend.

The tournament was a BLAST, and featured only ONE round two! .

I predict JP goes Berserk-style in retribution for Standstill performing well.

Thanks for the update, Dave.

JP head will asplode when he hears about all these Standstills in the Top 8. Razz

Congrats to jason and Hadley, and especially to Carl for making Top4 with a bad deck.

EDIT: Anyone know how stok's tourney went?  I've been hoping it would be a big bust.

Apparently, he ran two tournies, $15 entry fee, only prize was an English drain for first place, and no other prizes...There were 12 people in the first tournament, and eight people in the second.

P.P.S. I now realise that it is possible that you have mistaken Holland for Iraq as neither have weapons of mass destruction.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"
