Volume can't be negative. However, I don't remember enough about calculus to rely on my skills to calculate the given volume without looking anything up about shell/washer methods. :)

It's just a triple integral IIRC, and while obviously volume can't be negative the integral gives a negative value.  It could be ABS(triple integral), but I'm pretty sure it's just the basic multivariable calculus.

The function is f(x) = -x^2 + 4...you forgot the negative...that means...
Using the method of cylindrical shells the volume is
2pi*INTEGRAL FROM 0 to 2 of (-x^2 + 4)*x dx
2pi*INTEGRAL FROM 0 to 2 of (-x^3 + 4x) dx
=2pi*[-x^4/4+2x^2] evaluated from 0 to 2
=2pi*(-4+8) = 8pi
