Thank you to everyone who attended the first event of our 2007 Vintage Tournament Series here at Myriad Games.

Derek McAtavey won the Preregistration Bonus Dual Land.

Pat Broderick won the Best Deck Name Prize for "Your mama's so dumb she tried to cast Gifts when her opponent had True Believer in play"
    Nathan Cleveland also won for "Unveiling the mysteries of the combat phase"
    Dana Renfrew received an Honorable Mention for "American Badass" - his Red, White, and Blue deck.

The T-Shirt Challenge continued to be popular. I played 6 games and we gave away 3 Myriad Games T-Shirts. Thanks to everyone who participated. For those of you who did not win this time, thank you for playing. Those of you who haven't won a T-shirt can try again next time.

Our New Player Bonus Booster Pack was also popular. We had seven new players and each of them received a Free Booster Pack along with anyone who brought a new player (limit one per person).

Suppression Field is cool.

I figured this card would be a house at Myriad, since the building itself seems to have built in activated abilities (home of TMWA).  I was expecting to see a lot of fish and to face at least one mountains deck.  Unfortunately, this didn't happen, but I was lucky in that it's pretty good against bazaar of baghdad --I ended up facing 2 ichorid variants.  Even still, I was really lucky to win those (cookie monster had bad mulligans and I had a retardedly lucky sphere o resistance in my opening hand against the transformational sideboard version -- doomsday of all things . . . so unexpected).

Would anyone with experience care to fill me in on how stax is supposed to play against bomberman.  I lost against it twice on saturday, and come to think of it, i don't think i've ever beat it.  I'm on the verge of putting massacres in the sideboard to kill trinket mages.  They beat me down every time.

Yeah, that deck seems really interesting. Check out the thread in the Open Forum. Also Brassman's list is pretty interesting. No Tinker-Colossus in his Gifts deck. Also Warrens in the maindeck with Tendrils seems pretty cool. Is Wipe Away such a threat over at Myriad that Tinker into DSC is no longer an acceptable win condition? Or is this an attempt at advancing the overall design for Gifts decks into a more combo orientated deck?
