29 players attended this event with a lot of prizes given out.  2 door prizes every round as well as 9th-16th prizes.  There were technical difficulties starting off with printers and parking issues.  A crew race at the Charles river caused the extra traffic in Boston.  The printer was up and online by round 2.

Special to the staff and store for hosting this event and Dan Cunningham for helping me with this report.

Way to go Pyr0ma5ta!

Step 1: Find a vintage tourney near you
Step 2: Make top 8!

It seems like only 6 Lorwyn cards made it to top 8.
3 Ponder
1 Thoughseize
2 Thorn of Amethyst

Fantastic prize support, by the way.

...if I give you a ride again.

You forgot to complete the sentence :p

Tourney was quite good.  Had a fun time.  As already stated you did great for your first tourney and you were adding prizes like there was no tomorrow.
I plan on going to the next one (prob bringing t00l too =p) just list the datezors.

I should have my report from this up soon.  I'm working on getting some pics for it Wink

Thanks for the lists, and congratulations to the Top 8.

Although, I have to say I'm a little unsettled by the results,
and no, it's not the amount of Gush...

Feinstein, you play Taiga, but no Kird Apes?!?!

Also, not every deck was playing Tarmogoyf;
this is not optimal.
Everyone knows that Tarmogoyf goes in everything.

Fixed your quote.

My second Vintage tournament since moving out East, and boy am I rusty from not playing Magic!  I punted all day long and somehow managed to 3-0 and ID into T8.  And then of course I played like a donk again in the T8.  Ah well, I got some cool things for showing up.  Thanks for running the tourney, Chester.  Looking forward to your next one, in which I will punt 20% fewer times.

This was an awesome tourney and I was very impressed by the prize support and was really amazed that 9-16 got prizes.  Even though I got 17th I still managed to win 2 random door prize foil Salvagers.

I'd encourage anyone who didnt make this to go to Chester's next event!

This tournament was very well run, and the space and location (at least for me) is ideal for an event like this.

Nice work Chester.

Congrats to those in the T8.  I was completely stymied to see so many Gushes, given the recent prominence of stax and thorn's printing, but I guess you can't keep a good man down.

I had a great time despite playing so damn terribly.  At least I covered the full spectrum of tournament placing -- 1st/2nd at Feinstein's, 29th/30th at chesters.  Maybe next time i'll get 15th to balance things out a little.  I'll be at the next one when it happens.  You done well, Mr. Li.

I'm glad to see Dave do well with Fish again!  Keep the faith, sir.

It's a good thing that the DCI waited to take any sort of action on Gush.  Earlier, lots of people were being alarmist about Gush or Merchant Scroll, but frankly, tournaments like this clearly show that their hysterics aren't backed up by any sort of factual dominance.  Thank goodness.

Hmm... I guess Dave's Goblin's hung out at a drunken Sorority house and ended up smellin a bit fishy?

Damn you 9th place!! Going 3-1-1 and getting 9th after your breakers somehow drop 7 points is the lose.

Did anyone play Manaless Ichorid here? That's what I was going to bring if I hadn't already been busy with a Legacy tournament out in Hadley.
