Salem, NH 03079Saturday, September 13th Registration will begin at 11:00 AM, decklists are due promptly at 11:30 AM. Entry: $25.00 ***This event will use the September banned / restricted changes. Fifteen (15) proxies are free with entry. ELD's Power Proxies do not count against this 15 proxy limit. ELD Power Proxies include the following 12 custom proxies issued at ELD events: Black Lotus, Mox Ruby, Mox Pearl, Mox Jet, Mox Emerald, Mox Sapphire, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk, Timetwister, Bazaar of Baghdad, Mishra's Workshop, and Imperial Seal. Other ELD custom proxies count as normal proxies. PRIZESAs with all our events, prizes scale up with attendance, so the more the merrier! About 90% of the prizes will go to the Top 8. The remaining 10% will go to community support prizes including Myriad Games Mana Cookies, Preregistration Prize, Carpool Prize, and other assorted door prizes. Here are some examples of the prize distribution based on attendance. 20 Players - Top 8 Total ~ $450 Myriad Money 30 Players - Top 8 Total ~ $675 Myriad Money 40 Players - Top 8 Total ~ $900 Myriad Money Myriad Games Mana Cookies! Every player who would like one will receive a complimentary world-famous Myriad Games Mana Cookie. Scrumptious! Carpool Prize! In addition to the economic, social, and environmental benefits of sharing a ride to our fine Vintage events, all players who attend that come to the event via a carpool will be entered in a bonus drawing for an ELD proxy! So make plans with your friends now to get a car together for this event. You'll save money on gas and have a chance to win as well! New Player Bonus Booster Packs! Every new player will receive a Free Booster Pack! Preregistration Prize! All players who preregister will be entered in a drawing for a Bonus Preregistration Prize for an ELD proxy. Got some more cards for the cube from the newer sets as well, thanks to some invasion/shadowmoor/eventide drafts that were just wrong, and some friendly opponents who donated some cards!! Is it wrong to scrub out of an event on purpose to play cube? also i think a side event should be first 8 to drop can buy into an invasion/ravnica/guildpact/dissension/eventide/shadowmoor/morningtide/lorwyn draft, chaos style....AMAZING! |

I know the time is growing near when Jeff Carpenter is going to enter a Myriad with his deck constructed 100% from Momento Cards. I've seen it lurking around our Deck Constructing Workshop, and I shudder to the fact that someone might actually lose a game to it in competitive play..

Thanks for preregistering, oh mighty crazy-deck-building-and-somehow-winning-tournaments duo  The recent banned / restricted changes were announced for September 1st here. One of the benefits of unsanctioned Vintage events is that in cases like this, where this event is a week ahead of the official implementation of the B/R changes, we can get a sneak preview of the new format with all eyes forward. We'd be happy to receive feedback as to whether folks would like this event to use the new B/R list. Please post here with your thoughts. |

Each person who carpools has a chance to win the carpool prize, so each player in the car will receive one entry. Post or send over the names of those who will be attending and we'll get you all preregistered.
Any other feedback on whether or not we should use the new banned / restricted changes at this event?

So you're welcome, just bring food. I'm pro-Sept 1st B/R lists of course. Anything that encourages breaking the norm. |

As for using the Sept 1st B/R changes, what will be the deal with Time Vault? Are you just going to use current wording and have it be restricted, keep it unrestricted, or propose a wording (Smmenen's perhaps)?
Unfortunately I'm working either way, just curious how you'll handle this unique situation.

Regarding Time Vault, we'll follow the B/R list and have Time Vault restricted. Since the updated wording won't be announced officially until later this month, we'll keep the Oracle text as is. We'll have to wait for our October 13th event to really bust out the Time Vault shenanigans, assuming the expected adjustment to Time Vault's Oracle text becomes a reality.

I'm looking forward to heading North for another great event. Myriad will be giving out two of the first ever Custom Proxy Strategic Plannings. It is going to be a short cycle for Strategic Plannings, so I believe there will only be 11 total made. I'll be going with the plain chicken salad sub for my Myriad Meal. That thing weighs like 2lbs.
