Yeah! The podcasts should also start going up on MTGCast soon.

I just wanted to say, for anyone who is upset about me not playing non-blue aggro in the last tso as I said I was going to in the previous podcast, just wait for the next TSO.

I think I might have really enjoyed the hatred in this episode. Quite entertaining.

I listened to all but a few minutes of this last night, and thought it was pretty entertaining.
The answer to your question about Keeper IS answered in my chapter 1997.
The answer is this: Keeper was the name Mike Long gave his deck in the 1997 Magic Invitational, so called because Elemental Augury kept the opponent from drawing anything important. That's where the name comes from.

First time listener, thought it was entertaining despite lacking any real useful gameplay insights or tips (best tips: eat and bring your whole sideboard) . I like podcasts and I like Vintage so I'll probably listen again.
I'd like to hear more anecdotal stories about bad beats, humorous scenarios, amazing wins etc. I think those are your strongest segments.
Simple suggestion: get a funny sound effect (or several of them) to use to bleep out swears.

Thanks for the feedback. I think this is exactly what we are good at. I can guarantee that you'll never hear a 25+ minute discussion on the one fringe case where a new uncommon is marginally playable.

Like the C'mon Man section from ESPN's Sports Center? "Twaun P. once built an Oath deck with 2X Rorix Bladewing's... Activates Oath for the second time in rd 1... and baom! Twaun P realizes the power of the Legendary rule..... C'mon Man!"

Round one, I get a hermit out with double force back up, and there's no dread return in my deck. Beat that!

I hope you just spent the day comboing off and trying to convince your opponents to scoop.

All the guy wanted to see from the moment I played the hermit was the dread return, he had a meddling mage out the previous game so I think he just wanted to know what to name -I oddly won the first game with tinker- When I realized I had no DR in either the deck or the list I called for a deck check (on my self) and then made a hasty escape.

Seconded. I realize you guys are going for a more chummy and less cerebral podcast than Menedian, but at least do a discussion of a particular Vintage deck or analysis of the metagame from recent top 8s. This episode was more like eavesdropping on people at a bar than listening to people discuss Magic. Point of reference, the prior podcast with the Vintage aggro analysis was much more interesting.

This was a divisive show. People new to Vintage generally liked the casual tone; Vintage regulars didn't feel like they got anything out of it. We'll probably just continue doing what we want to.
