Does this card do anything interesting?  What cards would you want to add unique counters to?

Is there anyway to combo this with Magosi, the Waterveil?  In any format?  You would have to move counters around potentially.

Calling no one this one. It's too cute to fit in most lists and summoning sickness really kills it I think. Even in merfolk builds he will more often than not be a 1/4 body and nothing more.

Interesting, they printed a creature with the type 'Human Merfolk'. Also 1/4 is always interesting, especially for 3 mana and an odd ability. Could work with Chalice and Aether Vial maybe?

See I didn't even know that card already existed.

For the record, I am not saying that this card will be used, I was just curious if there were any quirky combos out there for it.

Like Frenetic Efreet and Chance Encounter.

Like Frenetic Efreet and Chance Encounter.

Except that combo doesn't work. Efreet has to be in play for you to flip a coin. In the very best case, you get 3-4 counters on Chance Encounter.

actually no, that is why frenetic sliver is worded the way it is.  You can stack any number of coin flips with the efreet, and they all happen regardless of whether or not he is in play.

Maybe for not-vintage.

Conversation over, obviously.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.
