Yes, that is correct. With Zherbus himself as a witness, myself and PTW made a $5 bet that a shortbus/meandeck member would win the StarCity Power9 tournament.
I gave him 5:1 odds, due to the number of non-team mebers in relation to team members, but it didn't matter.

No matter how many they put in the top eight (Yes, the coolest Meandeck member got into the t8. <3 Doug Linn) neither team could take it home. Therefore, PTW is forced to pay his debts to me at GenCon in front of his fallen team members.

That it all- I'd like a post from Steve O. as a witness if possible.

I'm sure Marc won't mind scraping off $5 off his freshly won Mox Sapphire or Time Walk for 3rd/4th. I'd say Mr Kerz got 0wned anyway. |

It was the Sapphire. 1st/2nd agreed beforehand to let whoever got second get the lotus, and whoever got first to pick up the ancestral and the 9th pick (which was timetwister). |

Well, yes Marc did well, but I didn't get 0wned at all, seeing I didn't attend this tourney. I got just about as 0wned as you did. |

It was 3rd place, and it was a sapphire.  And yes, I'll be happy to give kerz his 5 dollars.  I actually thought about that after losing my semi-finals match to 4cc, which btw was very good regardless of the outcome (those are the kinds of matches I attend these tournaments for).
I would like to add however, that shortbus had 5 people in the top 10 and 3 people in the top 8 (we got really screwed on tie breakers, rick james drew into 9th place instead of playing his match).  Meandeck had 1 person in the top 8 (WTF?!?!).

There can be no question about it, shortbus really is the best team in competitive vintage.

Competative vintage == North America sans Canada in this quote I suppose.  Otherwise, I challenge you for upcoming Gencon. Let's fight! |
