I was talking with some people tonight and we discovered a new card for the U/R fish mirror that we thought we should let you all in on.
Mountain Goat R, 1/1 Mountainwalk
Mountain Goat is savage in the fish mirror because you can curiousity him and he's unblockable once they get a volc out. He's also good against decks like Food Chain Goblins and Control Slaver. Basically once you resolve a Goat you can ride him to victory against any non combo deck that runs mountains.

River Boa is obviously superior, but nobody can resist the urge to play a 1/1 mountainwalking monstrosity. What makes this good is that it has mountainwalk, so it is also good against FCG!

You've really struck on something here Hale, but I think your approach is wrong. Why play an inferior deck when you can just play Invincible Counter Goat? Here's a list. We've been working on this one secretly for about two years, and I think it's time we let it out of the bag. Invincible Counter Goat
kill 4 Mountain Goat 2 Soul Foundry
broken 4 Nevinyrral's Disk 1 Tinker 1 Timetwister 1 Wheel of Fortune 1 Crucible of Worlds 2 Isochron Scepter 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Glorious Anthem 1 Memory Jar 3 Blood Moon
counters 3 Force of Will 4 Mana Drain 2 Mana Leak
tutor 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Vampiric Tutor 1 Mystical Tutor 1 Enlightened Tutor
mana 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Ruby 1 Sol Ring 1 Mana Crypt 1 Black Lotus 1 Lotus Petal 1 Strip Mine 4 Gemstone Mine 4 City of Brass 2 Glimmervoid 1 Library of Alexandria 4 Island You'll notice there's a lot of techy swing-plays here. Glorious Anthem makes your goats simply stronger than your opponent's, and the manabase is designed to be goat-proof. Soul Foundry + Goat automatically wins the game. Basically, I took the engine of ICT (with its strong tutoring and infinite draw) and removed the weaker cards for Mountain Goat and its combo pieces.

Why on earth would you pay extra mana to give your man Goat's ability?

Mountain Goat is tech vs. Fish, its not only a 1-drop to giveyou the speed that you need vs. this matchup, but you also do not need to worry about keeping mana open to regenrate it allowing you to use your mana as much as you want. If you combine this with the power of berserk to make it a 2/2 mountainwalk for a turn then you can get some tricks in on here.
Kowal, I think you are missing something in your decklist. You should add 4x Wasteland and 4x Crucible so you can get a lock on your opponent allowing you to put them on a 20 turn clock, this not only demoralizes your opponent, but it allows you to get a win via broken-nes.
Glorious Anthem is amazing in this deck becuase it's good, simply put. It allows you to just beat up on your opponent. You should consider Vitalizing Wind to allow you to just trample right over your opponent for massive amounts of damage!

Wasteland has bad synergy with mountainwalk.

I'm sorry, Kowal, but your Goat build is simply inferior to mine. I present to all of you, the product of 1000+ hours of testing and winning seven tournaments with over four people in attendance: A Beautiful Goat (ABG). The key element is that it runs maindeck solutions to Mountain Goat's greatest enemy: Genesis + Tarpan. THE OWNAGE 4 Mountain Goat
Combo 4 Scroll Rack 4 Land Tax 3 ZOrb
Control 4 Force of Will 3 Swords To Plowshares 1 Mind Twist 1 Balance 2 Back 2 Basics
Draw/Tutor/etc 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Regroth 1 Merchant Scroll 1 Fact or Fiction 1 Yag. Will 2 Cunning Wish
Mana Sources 1 Sol Ring 1 Lotus 5 Moxen 5 Plains 3 Islands 3 Gemstone Mine 2 Undiscovered Paradise 2 City of Brass 1 Strip Mine

Wasteland has bad synergy with mountainwalk Wasteland must be in this deck. When you have a 20 turn clock you want to lock your opponent out as fast as you can. You can kick them down to 1 mountain and then you win becuase they cant do anything else. You should add more secret tech cards to this deck, once you land a glorious anthem you could throw in Engineered Plague for the mirror (Englitened Tutor for the Mox Jet) and name Goat, that way your opponent has no way at winning. Thats what i call tech! Land 4x Wooded Foothills 4x Bloodstained Mire 3x Volcanic Island 3x Taiga 3x Tropical Island 3x Bayou 1x Stripmine 4x Wasteland
Super Kill 4x Mountain Goat
Secures you the win 4x Crucible of Worlds 4x Swords to Plowshares 4x Oxidize 4x Diabolic Edict 4x Terror 4x Counterspell 4x Accumulated Knowledge 3x Brainstorm
That is the new 4 color control deck that I have been messing around with for a while. I believe that Mountain Goat is a far superior kill condition becuase it does not recuire 6 mana to hard cast, and you do not need to play it morphed.

You're playing mountains and you're playing Mountain Goats, but not playing Anger? Angry Goatses are hardcore. This is the best combo deck eva. This thread really belongs in EVF

I don't see how everyone is missing the obvious combo of donate+mountain, then mountain goat. that's an ensured 20 turn clock.

yeah, evasion. I thought the deck with all the flyers was missing something. but it's fantastic in the mirror. When they are running all fliers too flying isn't enough. You need the hardcore raw power of a Goat. I also fear that having announced this monstrocity to the world we will now have to face such powerhouses from our gauntlet as Gro-a-Goat, Goat-Clamp, Tendrils of Goat, Counter-Goat and Goat Smash. There is also the somewhat inconsistent 1-2 land Goat to be feared. Hale
