First of all, I will spare you the rundown of the decklist, but I am more or less playing the exact same deck as my local gaming friend (what I mean by friend is that I see him regularly and interact with him, but am otherwise an independent player that enjoys to netdeck and use what typically copy what wins tournaments- there. is that good enough for you shallow jerk?), Klep. I really was addicted to Landstill for more than a year, but wanted to have a little change. Luckily, I have everything for 4cc/Keeper/Germbus - whatever you wanna call the deck and proxy the power 9. The problem though is that I am stuck because I am unable to easily locate anyone with flametongue kavus and I can no longer buy them from my buddies when I am at the tournament since our store implemented a No Card Sales Between Players policy. So that no flaming is involved over this, I should let people know that I have not played regular magic in 5 months
For the time being, this is what I got:
1 Disenchant
1 Coffin Purge
1 Stifle
1 Blue Elemental Blast
2 Red Elemental Blast
1 Pyroblast - Meddling mage has growing popularity in my area. I normally would run 1 more REB here, but this often is not able to be done since we have a few players who like their blue/black/white apocalypse control decks.
1 Rack and Ruin
1 Swords to Plowshares
1 Fire/Ice
1 Gush
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Skeletal Scrying
2 blank slots that I am trying to work with. Some ideas include:
1. Damping Matrix - heavy artifact prison decks here
2. Time Stop - gotta find these, but they look nifty
3. Thrashing Wumpus - its a 3/3 for 3BB that can get rid of weenies. its usually doubtful that I win by a decree of justice and I am more likely to win with Exalted Angels
4. Grip of Amnesia - I regularly ran this in Landstill and found that it not only was a counterspell that could draw a card, but the alternative of removing the opponent's graveyard seemed to hose Dragon and Workshop decks
5. Hurkyl's Recall - I own 9 of these and could see some use in my area versus Null Rod
6. Psychatog - I love these things, but am unsure about having enough card advantage to make use of Super Grover/Godzilla
7. Energy Flux - once again, heavy threats in the area involving Workshop decks
8. Oath of Druids/Gaea's Blessing - these could be sided in to replace the Gorilla Shaman and something else
9. Mana Web - some say this is a useful tech for the deck. it seemed to work okay main deck, but I usually sided this out
10. Darksteel Colossus - its big, it costs a ton, and when I was able to tinker one, it usually won the game
any advice would be reccomended, especially for those more familiar with 4 color control to help this landstill addict out before he goes back for some more hits from his landstill crack deck
Finally, I will be glad to trade for or buy the card if you live in the Blacksburg, Va area. If you can help a brotha out, feel free to email me at
