How can you people vote for Perez?  Do you not remember the great flamewar prior to the first SCG?  Do you not remember his constant flip-flopping on the issue of Saucemaster's sexuality?  "Saucemaster is submissive.  No, Saucemaster is dominant.  No, wait, uhm, what?"

I would also like to point out that by championing a good budget deck that temporarily dominated the format, Perez has made your Power 9 less important.  Your Power 9 that you spent thousands of dollars and plenty of good, old-fashioned hard work acquiring.  And now you see it devalued while people who just buy a few Null Rods and some Clouds of Faeries think they can waltz their way to the Top 8 in YOUR next tournament.  What do we call that?

I call it a handout.  Perez wants to make it easier for lazy n00bs with no grasp of traditional Type 1 values to win the Power that YOU should be winning at your next tournament.  After all, you worked for your power, why shouldn't they?  And he wants them to do it using a GAY DECK.

My friends, this simply cannot stand.  Let's send a message to all those Fish-playing wackos and "budget players" right now: we will not have our Power devalued and STOLEN from us because some Shortbusser down in Virginia wants to further some radical n00bie agenda.  Let's remind them of why TMD is great in the first place: incredibly expensive, hard-to-acquire cards beyond the range of most ordinary people, that belong by right to an elite few.  Let's not have some Commie redistribution of the Power in this format.  Let's keep it right where it should be.

Smmenen's first deck introduction for Team Mean Deck was Stax. This was, of course, a boon to the wealthiest 1% of all Type One players, especially those who owned stock in Mishra's Workshop. While tossing peanuts of value to the masses like Sphere of Resistance, most of the windfall went to the rich.

Soon afterward in his Presidency, we were faced with a great crisis. Everyone acknowledges the tragedy of Mind's Desire, and it was right to attack Long.dec for its worldwide support of comboists. But just when General Sculimbrene had the real villain, Yawgmoth's Will in the corner in 2003, and Smmenen made public statements like "If they give Yawgmoth's Will the boot, I will be a very happy man"--he let it slip through his grasp. He was all talk, while secretly already planning another, futile campaign.

When President Menendian wanted to attack Draw7 and find the weapons of Diminishing Returns, many Short Busers, including Senator Perez, trusted his words about its dangers, despite the fact that the real culprit was still on the loose. Now, months later, the most reliable data reports that Draw7 was never a threat. Yes, Marc even played a combo deck at GenCon, but the important thing is that he could realize his error and return to a long track record with the curious little men. Smmenen went to war once again to benefit the Powered and to the detriment of the format, and he decieved us about the WDR. Now, with Diminishing Returns completely discredited, Smmenen tries to divert our attention to Death Wish, as if that were a substitute for the rogue card which continues to endanger our format, Yawgmoth's Will.

Unfortunately, we have no allies in this fight, because the Europeans have lost faith in our integrity. They understood the battle against Long.dec, but with the great deceptions of the Menendian administration, they have directed their efforts to other combo decks. If elected, Marc Perez can bring the Europeans to our side, to help us extricate ourselves from this debacle the right way.

Sure, his ears look a little funny. Sure, he can't stop plugging his real estate experience and the medals he was awarded for his service. Sure, in the primaries it would be nice if Iowa had chosen the dynamic Governor Stoots (VT) or the roguish good looks of the now-running mate, Sen. David Allen (D-SC). But those are peripheral. The main thing is: ANYONE BUT MENENDIAN!

Marc Perez claims that he has fought heroically and with distinction for the Vintage community.  He claims to have served with honor.

We are here to debunk that claim right now.

Marc Perez has not been honest about what happened at the StarCity Games tournament in Virginia.  His account of what happened there and what actually happened are night and day.  Marc Perez has not been honest, and he lacks the capacity to lead.

We were there.  We know that his placing on that day was due to nothing more than CHEATING by stacking his deck and palming cards.  Look at what happened in Round Three.  In Game One, he had a first turn Ancestral Recall.  In Game Two, he "just happened" to draw his Crucible of Worlds in his opening hand to deal with his opponent's multiple Mishra's Factories.

Perez would have you believe that he is a talented and confident player.  We're here to tell you the truth: that Marc Perez is a cheater and a liar, and that nothing would be more dangerous than electing him to the highest office in our format.  Can you vote for a man who lies about his Vintage record?

Further, Marc Perez relies on intimidation tactics to defeat players he can't even defeat by cheating, such as Steve Menendian.  What he cannot gain by hook he will gain by crook, and when neither works, he attempts to frighten his opponents into submission.  He will go to any length to win.  He even helped alter Meandeck matchslips in an attempt to frame the only people in Vintage willing to stand up and tell the TRUTH about him.  Is this the man you want looking after your interests?

Steve Menendian, on the other hand, has a long record of service, and he's not afraid to get the job done.  Not everyone agreed with his attack on Long.dec, but he did what he thought was right without hesitation.  This is a man who will serve you faithfully and well.  This is a man who has never cheated in his life.  This is NOT a man who will stack his deck just to make Top 8.  This is NOT a man who will attempt to frame his enemies in order to discredit their honest victories.

Perez cannot lead this format.  Vote for your conscience.  Vote Menendian.
