So I got a chance to play some of this set tonight.
Overall, I'd say it was a pretty good experience. I don't know how long it can last in the long run though, because the novelty of some of the cards could wear off real quick, but overall it was fun.
Some quick notes:
- Richard Garfield is the most broken creature in Magic period.
- Greater Morphling is extremely difficult to kill. If it hits and sticks, you have lost.
- Cheaty Face is the cheapest card ever in the universe. My advice to someone who manages to kill one of these things is to rip it into pieces. I'm serious.
- Gotcha cards are really annoying, especially the ones about touching your face and saying a number.
Well, that's all I really have to say. Some of the art is cool, and the lands are awesome, the foils are neat, and it makes for a good night of magic. Some of the mechanics and stuff can get annoying and tedious (Red-Hot Hottie, Shoe Tree, Gluetes Maximus to name a few) but I think that everyone should give it a shot.
Does anyone else have anything to add about Unhinged? :0
PS. I went 1-2 on that stupid Side to Side card (the arm wrestling one). In my defense, my arm was almsot at breaking point by the third time, and it lasted nearly 5 minutes until I conceded. ;P
PPS. The Forest (John Avon) is the most amazing land I have ever seen. I found myself staring at it for quite some time.

Three Cape Cod Players in our release tournament opened a "Super-Secret Tech" - The 141/140 card - the ultra rare. IT was pretty interesting.

It is important to note that even for the purposes of casual and Un-tournaments, Cheatyface can only be snuck into play from your hand. So sayeth John Carter, as of today's Saturday School: Q: How cheaty can I get with Cheatyface?
A: Probably not as cheaty as you want. For example, you can cheaty Mr. Face into play only if he's in your hand. The game you're in can't see the text on hidden cards (ones in your library, for example) or cards in piles near your game. So no, playing Pandemonium and then pulling out a nine inch stack of Cheatyfaces is not going to work. Sorry, (h34tx0r. It seems that it's legal, as per the text of the card to try to sneak him into play, but, for example, if you're caught trying to sneak him from your graveyard to your hand, that's illegal cheating no matter how you slice it.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

We played a little Sealed on Friday night. A few notable things occured:
1. Game One turn one Cheatyface (the only time I drew it) 2. Me saying only "Thank You, May I have Another?" for an entire round (lotsa Gotchas.) 3. A 4/4 Goblin SWAT Team. 4. Guys in pretty things due to Ladies Knight. 5. My opponent swung with two Mothers of Goons and a 3/2 Man of Measure. I chumped the Man with a 2/2, and 3 for 1ed. 6. Scopping to Enter the Dungeon knowing I had only one land left in my library. 7. Blast from the Past getting Tainted Monkeyed away during a standstill at which point my opponent was at 3.5. 8. Cardpecker & Goblin SWAT Team 4L. 9. Super Secret Tech

I had to go Eye to Eye with an Avatar of Me's controler. The thing was a 6/14! I resorted to blowing snot-rockets at my opponent during the Stare Down match. He EVENTUALLY blinked.
I managed to pull 2 Cheatyfaces. The first few sneaks were easy, then I had to put it under another card I was playing. Then-zip-slide the decoy card away, reavealing the cheatyface.

I had a B/G deck, and found that my Booster Tutor was really strong. Being heavy back, I bought a Torment booster each time I used it, and got some goods like Faceless Butcher, Mutilate, and Soul Scourge.

I went 4-0 and won the binghamton release. triple booster tutor..allthough I only had the money to use it once>.<. Badass-is as his name applies- Bad Ass. very hard for my opponnents to kill him, especially since i mised 4 boost spells. Also double farewell to arms made my games very interesting. In the pack I tutored for a got a SHINY Gluteous Maximous. This set is alotof fun to play, but IMO B/G was the best color scheme, and cards like word dropping made the gotcha technique very interesting. I went 2-2 With my shiny Side to side. Leave it to me to get paired up against an uber athlete rd 3 and get smashed at arm wrestling

On wizard's site, people on their boards seem to be having great difficulty opening up the "Super-Secret Tech" cards. Apparently it is an "ultra rare" card. One person on the boards explains that there was 1 in 2 cases worth of unhinged open at the store he frequents. However in 2 or so cases here we opened closer to 5. It seems that the count varies greatly depending on the area. Though they're ranging at $30 on ebay so far with a few days left on each of them. There's still more around than i thought there would be.

Richard Garfield, Johnny, Combo Player, and Time Machine. The tech was to scoop game 1 with Garfield removed via Time Machine - and the counter-tech was to scoop game 2 before turn 5 so that I never got the Garfield or the Time Machine for game 3. Yes, it was that dumb.

I really like the card Persecute Artist. To me it shows that WotC has a good sense of humor about what happened before, and I like that. The flavor text is nice also.

I had double Glueteus Maximus in play multiple times during the tournament yesterday. It is random fun when someone chooses the same finger for both of them. It's also random hilarity when I draw by using my thumb to push the top card of my library onto my hand, which is face down, because I have double 5/5 on table to his random small guys.

The one thing I found was great, I was drafting on Saturday and first pack I opend A foil Island and first picked it and was passed one which I third picked. I assumed I would be dead going into the single Elemination but I won the tournament!
Fun Facts: I asked if I could 'rent' someone's shoes in order to put counters on shoe trees and the judge said if someone would rent me their shoes I could do it.
My best play of the day was: Opponent plays Gluetius Maximus, I name his middle finger on the left hand. I then play Side to Side and say i want to arm wrestle with my left arm, he just gives me the creature and then I DUH the maximus away. MISE

One kid picked up his Vile Bile (losing 2 life) and then kept running around trying to touch his opponent with it multiple times. The store picked me as "judge" and we got into a discussion of what a "verb" was. (to give you an idea, if I smacked you, is that Me touching You, or you touching me?) Anyway, to resolve all this, I clandestinely gave the kid's opponent my 2 cheatyfaces (who died earlier to their borkeness) to settle the score . As I had already finsihed my set (Unhinged Champ, no less), I had a smoke break. I kept looking back in to the store to find the Kid WAY pissed off that there were 2 flying 2/2 Cheatyfaces attacking him each turn. Way cool.

One other great story. We had a 57 year-old draft 2 Granny's Paybacks. I looked over one time to see him at 122 life. Great stuff.

I played Unhinged Saturday and made a B/R deck with 10, yes ten, removal cards.
Duh is fricking awesome.
Kill!Destroy! is awesome too.
The two big highlights of my day were:
1.) My opponent was at four life and I had Deal Damage in my graveyard (Deal Damage deals 4 damage w/ a gotcha of my opponent saying deal or damage).
My opponent plays the Fallen Apart. I ask: "What does that card do?"
My opponent says: "It comes into play with two arms and two legs. Whenever The Fallen Apart is dealt damage-".
I say Gotcha! And Deal Damage for the win.
2.) In the semi's, I was playing against a B/W/G deck with an Ass Whuppin' in there. I have the game won, so my opponent Ass Whuppin's the creature that the guy next to him is about to win with. That guy lost the game. Hi-larious.
I won the tournie, and pulled a foil Johnny and a Richard Garfield for my troubles.

From the SCG forums: I actually pulled this off. No joke.
1. Booster Tutor for Torment (I was BRw, had a City of Ass in play, figured it was a good pack to open). 2. Flipped through the pack and noticed the rare was Radiate. 3. Looked at my hand and noticed I had Ass-Whuppin'. 4. Blew up the world. Literally.
Needless to say, everyone had both a good laugh and a good time punching me repeatedly in the arm. That's easily the best play ever.

I totally played R/U/W, but I had 5 black removal spells in my sideboard. Never used them and placed second in the Sydney release. Emcee's were quite good!
The Red-Hot Hottie mirror was also quite fun, with people screaming at each other everywhere. Me and my opponent were laughing every time we had to scream at each other. Also, Red-Hot Hottie made for eome fun Emcee moments. Quote a player after hearing "Presenting... Red-Hot Hottie!": "Magic players should not actually be allowed to say that."
My favorite sentence was when someone destroyed Bad Ass with Pointy Finger of Doom and said "Looks like that bad ass gets the finger".
Also, a guy was playing that number-guessing creature (forgot the name), and he had his number called correctly by every single opponent he met - 4 or 5 times in total. This was the same guy I beat with his own Question Elemental. Mocking him in questions was awesome.
Ah well, it was a nice day. I'm going to draft more Unhinged and sprinkle it into normal draft sets. Should be fun! Also, I traded for a Foil Gleemax. Now I will go ahead and collect the set. In Foil. :p

I got turn 3 farewell to arms, followed by a turn 4 farewell to arms. I figured my opponent would just mind twist himself, but no. He played like 15 turns using only his face. He had some wierd tech involving sucking in and kissing the cards to pick them up with vacuum suction and move them, and he played his hand face up on a chair next to him. eventually I won, but still, it was a great game. And my opponent got a pack for his perseverance. That, and hearing a judge make the ruling " the game is called rock paper scissors, so claw hammer is not an option" before the event started. really made my day. The claw hammer thing was an old joke we used to have with a few of us who work in support
