Try Psychatog.  I'll pitch Tog or Wish any day to FOW a 3 Sphere.

I built a Shoals tog deck the day I heard of Shoal and its awesome.

I beleive you are all wrong about Shoals.  Shoals is a much better card that anyone in this thread has yet given credit.

Bullshit. What about me and the three or four other people who all said "Yay, good"? Hell, I haven't played a game in over a year and I can see that card as being really effective. It's not just you.

Typical ex post facto comment Smile  Actually, when you didn't even correctly identify what the card did in your first post.  It's a pitchable spell blast, not *power sink.*

Dude, your mom. The fact of the matter is that several other people have agreed that this is a very good card, not just you.  Also, oh no, I got Power Sink and Spell Blast confused! OH MY GOD NO, WHAT HAVE I DONE? Surely, surely the ten plagues of Egypt will be released o'er the land in harsh retribution for this unconscionable mistake! Oh, woe is me! Woe is the race of man, who will be returned to the dust from whence he came!

Seriously, what the hell does that have to do with anything?

Finally, your diction is faulty.

Again, your mom.

Your MOM.

Most people in this thread have bashed it.  Read shockwaves comment.  Additionally, my comment specifically read "I give this card more credit than anyone else in this thread thus far."  The inexorable conclusion is that even though people had widely ranging opinions on the card from "very good" to "horrible," my opinion was still that it was better than any one else so far was giving it credit for.  I think it is not just "very good."  It is terrific, fantastic, and amazing.  So there.

Okay now that's funny.

When two of the most anal retentive people to grace a message board get into a catfight and one has to revert to "your mom" arguments.

HA!

Reminds me of a quote from one of the greatest movies of our generation:

White Goodman: Go ahead, make your jokes, Mr. Jokey... Joke-maker. But let me hit you with some knowledge. Quit now. Save yourself the embarrassment of losing with these losers in Las Vegas, La Fleur.
Peter La Fleur: Alliteration aside, I'll take my chances in the tournament.
White Goodman: Yeah, you will take your chances.
Peter La Fleur: I know. I just said that.
White Goodman: I know you just said that.
Peter La Fleur: I'm not sure where you're going with this.
White Goodman: I'm not sure where you're going with this.
Peter La Fleur: That's what I said.
White Goodman: That's what I'm saying to you.
Peter La Fleur: All right.
White Goodman: Touché.

Nobody makes me bleed my own blood. NOBODY.

I *salivated*. SALIVATED! Like there was juicy, juicy steak on my plate. SALIVATED. You have nothing on me!

No one understands a tongue-in-cheek statement anymore... sheesh.

It looks like Wizards are considering Vintage again. Yet another playable card that requires thought to use correctly.

Rather than affect FoW, this may well be the card that stops Trinisphere getting restricted. Clearly Wizards view the Mirrodin block as the high water mark for artifacts and subsequent sets will mainly add to coloured decks, reducing the importance of 3sphere and Workshop. This clearly reduces the chance of 3sphere coming down on turn 1, although to what extent it is hard to say, and so it reduces the chance of 3sphere becoming the sacrificial lamb to save Workshop's neck. (seriously guys, Trinisphere is a balanced card on turn 3, the problem is the stuff that allows it to drop on turn 1)
