You can actually split them up a bit.  The mobs aren't exactly linked, so you can pull just Goblins, or Goblins and Warlocks.

So, get a good hunter and do some feign death aggro-link tricks.

If you get Warlocks, take them out quick and be sure your own Warlocks are ready for the spawning Felguards.

The Drakonid's are pretty weak, they can be off-tanked indefinately.

Spellbinders are problematic and are very spell resistant.  They can, however, be stunlocked.

We usually pull the Drakonid and Spellbinder first, then finish off the goblins.  Certain things will respawn if you don't pull them all at once though, so as we're finishing the Spellbinder, we pull the rest.  We Sheep Goblins, then have a warrior charge and fear as they start coming up.

Like I figured it just took a few wipes to get the feel for the pulls, and then we moved right on up to ebonroc.  We had lost so much time learning the other pulls though it was already past raid time...  we took a few attempts and I can see why people say he's easy.  1% wipe on our 2nd attempt. then people started getting sloppy because of the hour and we had to call it. Ebonroc is so dirt simple... and yet so frustrating when the taunts are resisted. We'll definetly be on Chromaggus next instance (ours resets sometime tonight).

Yeah, they might as well put the loot on the floor with a sign saying "Ebonroc and Flamegor was here!"

Flamegor's an epics dispenser.  I'm amazed you don't just pull back his head and have two epics pop out.

Friday was a new instance for us, and we cleared to the laboratory with relative ease. Up to that point, it was our best run thus far.

Then, Firemaw was just a huge cockblock for some reason. Granted, doing it with three priests was NOT the was to go, but our tanks just couldn't seem to figure out the positioning. Regardless, monday night should see firemaw, and ebonroc fall at least.

Nefarian...18%.

Wiped on skeletons.

We know what we're doing now, Phase 1 and 2 are easy.  We've got our strat for 3, and he's going down Tuesday.

We ran an experiment this weekend in Molten Core that may be of interest to you guys.  We summoned a Doomguard before engaging Golemagg, and the Doomguard's "Cripple" ability appeared to work on him.   If it works on Golemagg we're thinking it will work on other bosses and plan to test it accordingly.
The "Cripple" debuff is -30% attack speed, it lasts for 20 seconds and is on a 30 second cooldown, so you can keep him crippled 2/3rds of the fight... a pretty major boss nerf for those it works on.
No confirmation if it works on other bosses (and obviously some dont do much melee damage anyway) but thought you guys might like to know.

Our current colors are Green/Blue.  This Phase one is super easy if you ask me.

I don't think "Cripple" stacks with "Thunderfury".  If you've got a Thunderfury, it's probably not going to be worth the effort to deal with a Doomguard for an extra 5% slowdown.

If they ever improve this aspect of Warlocks, this might turn out to be viable.

We are currently 7 Elementium Ores away from our own Thunderfury - so  we'll keep experimenting with Cripple for the time being...  any info that I get I'll pass along.

Jebus, have you guys figured out that you can use a temporary OOC rezzer in the Nef fight?  When somebody is rez'd or comes online, if they're far enough away from Nef or even if they're close but just come up at the right time, they're out of combat.  Makes phase II trivial.

Do you guys use Limited Invul Pots on your mages for phase III?  I have to imagine that it's significantly harder for horde without being able to use BoP.

ZOMG last night Dragonfang Blade dropped in the 30 minutes my internet went down... Sadfase.

I still managed to pick up BF boots later on in the night, but man, it sucked.

I believe we've had a few out of combat rezes, but we normally don't need them.

We don't have much practice on phase 3 yet.  We're determined to take him down tonight.  We're a bit more prepared for the zerg, so we think we have a working strat.  I don't think we've used invuln pots on the mages.  We normally use those for healers that pull aggro.  Might be worth a shot.

It's all about execution now.

I'd be happy with a Viskag, but no.  We've killed Onyxia 15 or so times and had zero Viskags.  And I believe I'm third or 4th in line.  Frown.

We've probably killed her over twice as much as that and haven't seen it either.

I think we've ended up with 3 deathbringers though.

The other day, I saw a Warrior with a Viskag. Razz

We had one rogue who coveted it like nothing else.  He's given up.  He's got a Maldath and Chromatically Tempered now, so he's fine with that.

I've been told another guild on our server gets Viskags every time.  I'm a supersticious guy, and considering joining their raid for a couple weeks to try to mise one for myself.   It'd definitely be faster than waiting my turn for the third to drop for our Viskag aneorexic guild.

Back when I played this game we tried this on magmadar once.  Worked great for about 30 seconds, then the warlock enslaving him drew aggro and got waxed.  The doomgaurd killed like 8 people between chain-banishes lol.  He's capable of singlehandedly wiping a decent attempt at a hard encounter.  Of course, this is back when he had uncapped war stomp and his bumrushing the priest line with aoe stun was just bad for everyone.

I was in discordia.  Don't throw eggs I wasn't one of the assholes =p

Gratz Jebus.   We're a good month behind you guys, but we're making progress.  We downed Ebonroc and Flamegor last night... Got flamegor on the first attempt... wow what a joke that guy is.   On to Chromaggus and a bunch of wiping.

I assume you guys also use a DKP system, how do you handle tier 1 vs tier 2 epics (or epics vs epics at all).  it seems unfair that someone should pay the same price to go from blue to a tier 2 epic as someone who already has a tier 1, as it really discourages people from spending hte DKP on tier 1 items.  Do you have any system in place for discounting the cost  if you already have an epic? Do you forc epeople to take the tier 1's?

We don't use DKP.  We use an officer appointed loot system.  It's worked so far.

If we used DKP, I'd imagine we'd use a discount system for Tier1 to Tier2, since it's such a linear update.

I don't like the idea of force looting under DKP.

As an officer all I get is complaints already... I shudder to imagine the drama that would go with appointed loot.  You must have a very team-oriented group to not get swamped with complaints and accusations of favoritism.

We use a DKP system where the differential is 20 dkp from all Tier 1->Tier 2 upgrades.  Non-tier armor pieces are 20 dkp below their corresponding Tier 1 slot, but not all armor pieces are down/upgradeable.  We have rather nebulous rules about loot though, so much of it is still officer decision, and they tend to be pretty unilateral in their decisions.
