With The rise of Dragon and Cerebral Assassin Control Slaver is getting some bad matchups.  I went to the last YMG tournament and I left early to hang out with my friends and because I had just lost to Dragon and Travis's Metalworker Staff combo deck.  I got the bye Game 1 and saw a lot of Dragon and Cerebral Assassin.  With these 2 Decks on the Rise would it be a Good Idea to start Main Decking Blood Moons again?  These Main deck are a bomb vs some decks, are they worth using in the Current Meta game?

I have used 3 Maindeck Blood Moons in my CS deck for a long time, and the conclusions drawn were fairly simple. It shores up the two most difficult CS matches (Oath and Workshop), but they can be dead in a lot of instances. Also, room is tight in the deck.

It's great tech in Toronto, but it's horrible most of the time, south of that border.

Ya they look bad because of all the Basics but there are the few decks like 5C dragon and Cerebral Assassin which the Moons are just almost game resolved.  Is it worth Main decking them with those 2 decks on the rise also it hurts Workshop since its 5 color too?  Are they good i nthe current Meta?

The problem with this post is we don't know what meta you play in. I play in a field with oodles of Control Slaver, so decks like Deathlong and Madness are playable. If you pay in a field with a huge amount of Dragon and Cerebrall Assassin, then play Fish. Or play Blood Moon in Control Slaver.

O sorry about that I thought saying I played in YMG would tell everyone its in NE.  The meta is a Lot of Slaver and then at the last mox tournament there were a lot of Dragon and Cerebral assassin.  Its the general Metagame though because of everyone running Basics Blood Moon and B2B are not seeing play and thats why 5Cdragon and Cerebral can become very big and since CS is the top deck right now would main boarding Blood Moons again be a good idea to bring to say SCG in NY?  Saddly I will not be making it to NY but I hope to be reaching the next one and just wanted to see what others thought about using Blood Moon at a Major tournament.  I'll make sure I post better in thew future.

Are you daft, man?  Do you know what a double stone rain in the form of a 7/10 body does to Fish?

On topic, I also boarded Blood Moon while I was playing slaver.  It's a must counter for Oath and CA, and it wins random games against lots of decks.  The only problem is, it's a slow answer in a fast format.

If I were still running CS right now, I'd have blood moons in the board. I've been seeing more and more dragon and Cerebral Assassin around New England and workshop will definitely see play. I would not, however, go so far as to maindeck it.

I maindeck one Jester's Cap.  It bails me out every game.  Last week someone sided in 8 cards against me and I removed them from game before they could play them  Smile

okay thats nice and all, but do you use blood moon or think that it should be used?
capping someone is fun, but too costly anyway.
i think the board is the way to go as well. sure dragon and CA might be becoming more popular, but lots of basics are still being played.
and as already stated, the deck is tight.

i think the most tech card that nobody has talked about that is going to cause headaches to both cs and CA is guerilla shaman. I wonder why no one mentioned it in like 4 months.

I think that running blood moon main deck is entirely a metagame call. TAL style Control Slaver builds usually have 2-3 spots MD that are constantly in a state of flux that are decided by the meta. The only time I ran it MD was while 4cc was at the height of popularity. If you're uncertain about the metagame something like cunning wish is usually good, you can run a BEB in the board to stop dragon from going off.

I'm also unsure where you gentlemen got the impression that dragon was such a terrible matchup for Control Slaver?
