Well, I guess I don't have time for this waterbury, but if you plan one just after gencon or w/e, I might be able to stick around, assuming I can get some place to stay Wink

On another note, I'm not even sure I'm coming to GenCon this year though, since I'm swamped in schoolwork, and project I will have a few resits in the summer :/

Prizes Edited to reflect update of all TBD prizes.

Also...thanks to Ashok(Method) for providing another great prize: A set of FOIL JUGGERNAUTS to a random person who goes 5/3 in the regular event.

Also, note that the 33rd place prize is now a PLAYSET of Goblin Games.

Also, as the voting clearly shows...the start time will stay at 11:00 am.

Oh...and this thing is over a month away...but that doesn't mean we can't start the trashtalking yet...go for it.

Oh my God! Ray, you scheduled Waterbury for Easter Sunday!

Ray, is there any chance that Waterbury can be put on some other day? This is the most important religious holiday of the year.

Granted, I might be the only person affected by this, so in that case, of course, proceed.

I realize this thread has been stagnant for a while...yak it up people.

Anyway, to show that this post isn't completely pointless, I just wanted to mention to all who plan on staying overnight that the room rate of $79 per night has been arranged.  Mention "Magic Tournament" when booking your room.

The number for the hotel is (203) 596-1000.

Have a terrific day and see you in a few weeks.

Two updates...one exciting...one not so much.

The "not so much" first...the deck reg form is now available online.  If you are the kind of person who likes to come prepared, get some extra morning sleeping time by filling out the form ahead of time and bringing it with you.

It is available here:

http://home.ripway.com/2005-1/238470/deckreg.doc

The second announcement pertains to day two.  Although last time(the first time I did a day 2) was successful, I am adding to the prize support for the second chance mox tourney a round one bye into the following TMD open.  You heard me correct.  If you win the Day Two Second Chance Mox Tourney you will win a mox AND a round one bye into TMD Open 7.

Cya in Waterbury.

This is regards for anyone coming to Waterbury , Mrs. Outlaw and myself are going to be hopefully providing video coverage along with anyone else that is.  We have just gotten a new video recorder and a digital camera, hopefully we'll have all the feature matches taped and anyone that is interested in getting a picture takin just find me and give a hollar.  Also if you want to get on camera, then find me and tell me, well get you on video.  For reference, I'm a dark skinned skinny punk with shades on most of the time, and im loud an obnixious.  My atempts are to just make this Waterbury completely awesome and so that we can all reflect upon it at a later time and have some laughs.

Just a few days left...any last words gents?

I would personally like to call out some predictions.

1.) Canadians will make a massive showing ala Starcity Syracuse.  They will dominate the entire tournament with a new version of Salvagers Oath that kills with Cantivore.  Unfortunately, no one will notice.

2.) Sam Best will win.  He will change his name to Sam Teh Best

3.) Crazy Carl will officially come out of the closet.  Later he will return there to retrieve his coat when he goes to grab some food up the street.

4.) Adam Bowers will still not be at Waterbury.  The world will continue to live in darkness.

5.) Team Goat will make a triumphant return.  The will come super-glued together as Team Mutant Goat.

6.) I will finally figure out EXACTLY how much pizza to order...no more...no less.

7.) Phish will reunite.  This has nothing to do with Waterbury, but I can dream can't I?

8.) Brassman wil play JP Meyer in a MonoU on MonoU mirror.  They will each have a morphling in play.  Their souls will then switch bodies.

9.) A brand new deck will emerge.  It will be nicknamed Contol Slaver 2: Electric Bugaloo.

10.) Jdizzle will win another Waterbury Bingo by having EVERY person on his card in the top 32.  He will find out after dying that he used up all his luck before he bought that Lotto ticket that was supposed to win.

11.) Day 2 will be even more fun and more successful.  With Jacob Orlove away in California, the following analogy will be proven true: Simon Cooper is to Magic Trivia as Ron Jeremy is to things I wish I could do. All he step in his way will be slain.

12.) Many good times will be had.

Any predictions?

First off, I think there should be a Waterbury dance off, somebody has got to be served.  I will take challenges, and we can throw down somewhere and get some judges and have a ball, the only person I do fear dancing off with is Brassman with the Brassman.  Please note I hope I don't offend anyone with my predictions, their just for fun of course!

1. Travis LaPlante is going to dominate the Texas Hold'em tourney, and forever prove who the Vintage gambler is.

2.  Ultima and I will face off once more, and for once I'll drop it like its hot all over him, with respect of course John.

3.  Ray will be named; The United States Man of the Year.

4.  Ray will also not figure out how much pizza to get.

5.  It won't suck to be Andy Probasco this weekend, unlike at Chicago.  He will also unleash his army of Brassmen and hold Waterbury CT under his command, clones of all those that signed his Brassmen will appear and control everything.

6.  Some secret tech will emerge from the darkness and storm through the tourney.

7.  Many top 16 spots will be given up by players not able to attend, most notably Rich Shay.

8.  Kerz will officially return to the Vintage scene and people will try and remember who he is but will not remember.

9.  Eastman will repay Kerz for drunken follies.

10.  Ben Kowal will not hitch hike to Waterbury, but lead a marathon run, which will soon crap out after he realizes that he smokes cigarettes and falls over wheezing a few paces in.  He will be delivered to Waterbury by that creepy old guy that we can only refer to as "That Guy".

11.  Somebody is going to get served, you got served style, by myself.

12.  The Law will not catch up with me!

13.  Waterbury is going to kick ass.
