I'd find a way to play balance and change the echoing truth to a chain of vapor.  balance should be nasty in a deck that uses bazaar and plays as few lands as dragon does.  when you add in the 0 creatures part it starts to look really good.  but before I can do that I need to get brassman to give me back the signed one I leant him for the championship.

Just curious - when you knew your round 1 Stax opponent was 5cStax, you didn't side in anything for Ground Seal.  You didn't think he was siding in Seal?

Nice job, good to see my favorite deck doing well (I was 9th last year with a BUG version).

Leviat is control? I always thought of it as a combo deck.
It's probably Alejandro Escribano with his Zombie Infestation deck (2nd place Paris).

Anyway, congrats on the result and thanks for the report.

I played against Alejandro on Friday.  I wondered what that deck exactly was.  Thanks, now I know.

Congratulations on the high finish.  I just had a few questions.
How did lim-dul's vault work for you all day?

Also, did you ever find a time when you had force in hand w/o blue stuff to pitch?

Third, did you ever actually use compulsion?

I don't believe I ever used compulsion, but I think you have to have it.  sometimes you need compulsion to win the game.  I side them out against things that don't play strips though.

Lim-dul's vault is insane in dragon.  it's just about the best card in the deck.  if you read my report, the number of times I say "I cast lim-dul's vault to get stuff that wins.  I win on my next turn" or something like that is insane.  that's really how the card works in dragon.  you can use it to tutor up bazaar and then set your top two cards so it will go well for you.

I don't have a problem with not having enough blue cards to cast fow.  I've got 15 or so blue cards, that's pleanty to support force.

we each got 48 packs.  I kept the draft sets of kamigawa block but I opened the italian legends and the 9th ed.

Congrats on the finish.
I have a couple questions:
1) Why didn't you use the Eternal Witness kill?

2) Do you think that Engineered Explosives would be better than Pernicious Deed in the SB?

I didn't play the witness kill for a few reasons.

1) with the 5 color mana base you dont' want to be playing two kills that require a specific color of mana.

2) I didn't have room for timewalk

3)witness doesn't pitch to force of will

4) witness requires you to play infinite spells in a turn thus making your vulnerable to sideboard arcane lab which I thought would be more common than an answer to helkite.

so that's most of the reasons I can think of right now.  if you're playing red anyway hellkite kills plats and also can kill welders if you need to as well.

as for EE I didn't test it.  actually as you can see from my report I didn't really test at all.
I figured if I was gonna be blowing up lots of stuff I'd want to blow up everything...thus deed.

Great report and congratz on the top 4 finish!  Dragon kind of makes me wonder why I keep playing Tendrils based combo sometimes =/
