Vader would win in any straight-up fight, but Batman always wins unfair fights regardless of opponent.

I reckon we'll get at least another option before this thread migrates to the bottom of the page. In any case, serious Vader-fatigue is setting in and people are starting to notice that he is dead, which is generally regarded as unhard in most quarters. Even so, he still beats out Batman who is attended to by a 'manservant'.

Well so far we've had these threads featuring our favorite Star Wars character:
- Vader VS Gandalf (Lost) - Vader VS Dr Doom (Won) - Vader VS The Other Sith guys//Samuel L Jackson (Winning)
Now Vader VS Batman (Currently Losing)
We should all just admit that Vader gives TMD members mega boners and we're always thinkin about him.
I remember reading a thread on some random forum about Vader VS Goku, that would be a good match. I can't remember who won though.
Vader should become the official spokesman for TMD.

Just because YOU can't think of another way for Batman to win doesn't mean HE won't. He's way smarter than you are.

Batman could always just show Vader Episodes 1-3, which would cause him to cut off his own goddam head out of shame.

The force also kind of trumps any sorts of traps. Also, Vader isn't particularly susceptible to fear at this point.
That said, I think this thread isn't so much about a fight, but which character is fucking sweeter. And for that reason, I voted Batman. Vader kisses boys.

Plus Cortosis ore, and he's actually probably better trained with a lightsaber than Vader, being a fucking NINJA and all.
Batman is obviously sweeter than Vader, but only barely.

That is the sort of guy he's up against. You're going down, Vader, Force or no. Kicking Superman's ass gives one a decent shot at Vader, methinks.
I was about to say this until I noticed you already had. I know in the star wars books theres some places the force doesnt work b/c of some animal or plant or some shit. Bruce would just rig up some shit utilizing that crap and then pwn Vader. Batman. Always. Wins. EDIT: Wow. I had forgotten how straight up awesome Alex Ross is. That piece is amazing.

As far as poles go, Batman cannot be defeated. If one was to ask the question "who would win in a fight, Batman or vader," I would have to inform them that despite all of vader's "magic tricks" he doesn't have a shot in hell.

I voted vader for the simple reason that vader means dad in dutch. And my dad is the strongest man in the universe. At least he was when he was in his prime. And whoever says otherwise gets to deal with me. And believe me, The bat and me are one.

The question is not who saved the most galaxies. Heck, *I* could have saved the galaxy if I'd just happened to materialize in old man Palpatine's blind spot and kicked him in the nuts from behind. That does *not* mean that I could, for example, beat the living shit out of Supes like Bats did.

Plus, Batman is in the justice society league group of america's heroes or whatever. That means he saves the galaxy at least once a year.

The question is not who saved the most galaxies.
The question is actually "who will win this poll," which is a Catch-22. You can vote who will win, but then you are influencing the outcome. If you don't want to influence the outcome, then you can't vote. If no one wanted to influence the results of the poll, no one would vote, and then no one would win, making everything minute. Plus, Batman is in the justice society league group of america's heroes or whatever. That means he saves the galaxy at least once a year. Batman is "the most dangerous man alive" according to Superman. That seems pretty good.

I'm not sure why everyone is all hard over this "Super-man." He is -just- a man afterall. Get him near a red sun or something like that and he's powerless anyway right? Sheesh. If Lex can outwit Superman on several occasions, then wtf. Vader would have squashed him like a bug. I'm willing to bet that Vader could beat Superman and Batman together, in a fight, without even using his arms.
I was hoping that I wouldn't have to play the following card but,
Made babies with Natalie Portman: Vader: 1 Batman: 0

I'm not sure why everyone is all hard over this "Super-man." He is -just- a man afterall No he isn't. He's an alien. An immortal alien with unimaginable powers. From Legends of the DCU: (discussing Superman" "Robin: ...what's he like? Batman: Lightning. Thunder. He's not human, Dick. Never forget that." Regarding Bats: "He's fought every kind of criminal, demon and extraterrestrial nightmare they could throw at him. Superman once called him the most dangerous man alive." Vader is just a guy with a telekinesis trick (really, has the Force ever been anything else for him besides that, and a means to keep upright in that friggin' suit?) who happens to been decent with a lightsaber. In the words of Gag Halfrunt: "Vader's just this guy, you know?" There's no contest. Batman doesn't lose *anything*, let alone this poll. If that homo Luke can pwn him, Batman most certainly could.

About Superman. He just pays U and he cannot be targeted by spells or effects. So Vader's telekinesis would be useless against him. I am however unsure what would happen when he hits with a lightsaber. Probably just fly away i guess. (costing another U) And as you can pay U to not be surprised Vader's planning would never work.
On the Bat being the most dangerous human alive, i am guessing to superman men are bugs and Batman is just the bigest bug alive. Another pest to be crushed. Or was that mister smith???

Then how come Batman beat him on every occasion they met in battle? True, Superman only has one weakness, kryptonite, but for some reason, every opponent he ever had seems to have picked up some like it was available at a local grocery store. Heck, Batman even made his own batch. Not a chance in hell

Number of good films with Vader in them: 2 and 3/8 Number of good films with Batman in them: 1
Shagging Natalie Portman has to count as a plus point.
Regarding Superman, I heard that New Scientist calculated that given his strength in other tasks well documented, his ejaculation strength should be sufficient, not only to make the women somewhat less suitable for such activities in the future but also to send his sperm into orbit (assumes that a woman is involved and I guess her on top). That has to be considered a major minus (especialy for spacemen hit by space debris).
I think a cursory glance at the batmobile is sufficient to see that someone is trying too hard to compensate for something, don't you think?

Batman didn't ask for that car. It just happened to be what his company was designing for the miitary. The military is compensating, not Batman. The new Batmobile is considerably less phallic than the old one.
Vader didn't plunk Portman, that was Anakin Skywalker. Vader is the machine. Anakin is the man(boy).
Vader's machine was not as badass as Batman's (think Batman Beyond). I mean he could see through walls. He basically became Superman.
@dandan Batman had a kickass animated series. Vader didn't. Good animated series are like 5 good movies per season.

This question boils down to Ninjitsu vs The Force.
Batman would win the fight by sneaking into Vader's room when he is away and ruining all that equipment that sustains him. There wouldn't ever be an actual battle -- Batman would just Ninjitsu Vader to death.
