RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

#TMD was having an orgasm over that, and over Rich Shay making day 2 (congrats!).

Chris McDaniel (a.k.a. Star Wars Kid) made the Top 8 of Champs one week earlier in Virginia and did not even think he was going to attend this event before the middle of the week. McDaniel has been playing Desire combo decks for as long as it has been possible, so this weekend was no different. His experience with the archetype really shined through as he impressed onlookers all weekend with his excellent play.

Mark Herberholtz made day two as well.  He plays some Vintage on the side, and is a member of team RIW.

Am I missing something? I thought the name of the Star Wars Kid was Ghyslain Raza, its even quoted like that in Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Kid ), and I remember some articles calling him that way. Was all that just a spoof?

EDIT: Dumb Rojo. Wikipedia cites BBC News and Sidney Morning Herald's articles also calling him Raza, URLs:

They're talking about "Star Wars Kid," not THE Star Wars Kid.

I'm sure he gets that all the time -- it confused me too. Though I can't say I dwelled on it long.

By now we all have seen the coverage, I guess, but I still want to point out that it was PT Los Angeles, not London.
