If I can get, like...one or two more green cards for my skittles deck, I'll have to unleash it on someone. It is like no other skittles deck you have ever seen!

Grinning Ignus storm combo? I almost want to see if that can work, but it would probably just be skullclamp.dec again.

What's the call on Ghostfire? Can I run 6U, 6B, 6R, 6G, 6W, 6 artifact, 23 land, and one Ghostfire?

Huh. I'd be more inclined to say that you can't play Ghostfire at all, since the rules call for an even split among the colors, plus lands, but  I guess it could also be an extra card if people want to run it that way.

Eh, it's not very exciting. I prefer Mirrodin's Core, which doesn't put me down a land when I cast colored spells. I run Prismatic Lens, and even that can be hard to use for colored mana. As a land, ugh.

But this is pretty exciting:

Vivid Creek  (Uncommon)
Land
Vivid Creek comes into play tapped with 2 storage counters.
{Tap}: Add  {U} to your mana pool.
Remove a storage counter from Vivid Creek,  {Tap}: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.

Yeah, why not.  I'm inclined to say it can either be red or colourless, but since you'd be almost insane to play it as red, that's hardly relevant.  Like Phil, I've dismantled rather more of my skittles decks than I should have to build for EDH...

I did NOT realize that this was a cycle. Wow. I will absolutely need to play the green one, and probably also the black and blue ones. I may cut Mirrodin's Core. These are amazing for Skittles, even if the CIP tapped (which makes resetting them via bouncelands a little sad). Oh man.

Edit: Shriekmaw is also pretty amazing.

Shriekmaw and Mulldrifter are crazy. I'm actually cutting down on random 2-for-1 guys like Fire Imp because I'd rather have cheaper removal to play before I get my engines up and running.

We've started playing Skittles again in my area.  There have been a lot of really good changes to lists from recent sets, and the format has been quite enjoyable.  Here's my most recent list:

Artifacts:
Aether Vial
Etched Oracle
Fellwar Stone
Crystal Shard
Darksteel Ingot
Sensei's Divining Top

Blue:
Probe (testing it over Deep Analysis)
Jetting Glasskite
Mulldrifter
Tidings

Green:
Eternal Witness
Nimble Mongoose
Ana Battlemage
Harmonize

Red:
Ancient Grudge
Gorilla Shaman
Thunderscape Battlemage
Flametongue Kavu

White:
Sunscape Battlemage
Dismantling Blow
Stonecloaker
Swords to Plowshares

Black:
Skeletal Scrying
Nekrataal
Shriekmaw

Multi:
Murderous Redcap (b/r)
Terminate (b/r)
Mortify (b/w)
Recoil (u/b)
Overrule (u/w)
Putrefy (b/g)
Kitchen Finks (w/g)
Spite//Malice (u/b)
Silkbind Faerie (u/w)
Savage Twister (r/g)
Firespout (r/g)

Lands:
Gemstone Mine
Mirrodin's Core
Shimmering Grotto
Vivid Crag
Vivid Marsh
Vivid Creek
Vivid Grove
Vivid Meadow
Azorious Chancery
Boros Garrison
Dimir Aqueduct
Gruul Turf
Selesnya Sanctuary
Wasteland
Nantuko Monastery
Vitu-Ghazi, the City-Tree
Riftstone Portal
Terramorphic Expanse
Swamp
Plains
Mountain
Forest
Forest
Island

We've modified the rules in our area to declare all mana-producing lands as untargetable.  You can still Wasteland or Nightscape familiar on the stuff like Vitu-Ghazi or Monastery, but hitting a bounceland with a Wasteland effect is just unfun.  It's been a nice improvement to the interest in the format (the mana is hard enough already).  Also, we had to ban Fanning the Flames - a buyback Fireball is a bit too much to deal with late game for too many of the decks out there.

Like Phil, I just haven't really played Skittles since I moved to EDH.  I did take the Sliver deck out for a whirl the other day though.

LD's a fairly viable Skittles strategy, and while maybe unfun, it isn't really that gamebreaking.  Banning Fanning the Flames definitely seems to be a side effect of your rules tweak, it's fairly good otherwise but not amazing.  I play it in a Domain type deck that also runs Price of Progress.  That'd be so much better if alot of the people round here didn't think the best route to mana fixing is the draw phase for their all basic land deck...  (When I get paired against them, they usually have 3 different in the opening hand and proceed to draw the other 2 like clockwork, of course...)

Jeez.  Manamorph deserves a slot in my skullclamp/storm deck - it's soooo gooood..  I could split him with Wild Cantor or something; I was having trouble with that slot.  Crap, I took the foils out of it already  (most of the deck) for my EDH decks!  Kind of a dead deck, I guess.  Poo.  It was the only one I really used heavily anyhow.  My Honden deck was never that good.  I thought my 5/3 deck was decent, but it was slower than slivers.

Yeh, that cycle of new 3 color CIPT lands makes me want to play the format again.

So does Fire at Will get any play from you guys?  At a glance it looked like a good card to me, but is it just too hard to fit with the hybrid cost in those unpopular colors?  Figure of destiny not popular in weenie strategies?

regarding mythic rares:

i know the rules state something about the "most rare" slot of the print run.  hence mishra's factory is legal with the weird way uncommon sheet runs were done in that set.  so in sets with mythic rares, do rares become free game?

Has anyone tried to play Skittles on MTGO?  Many of the more popular cards are available online, and if people played on there, it may be easier to find opponents (of course, MWS is cheaper, but still...)

Just curious if there are any other interested players on MTGO.

Ancient Ziggurat

T: Add one mana of any colour to your mana pool. This mana can only be used to play creature spells.

I might have to go update some decks with Rupture Spires, I see no reason not to have one in every deck.  I did get round to revamping the Sliver deck recently though.  Even more exciting, I built a Skittles EDH deck.  The General is Reaper King (he's not in the deck, except under odd circumstances), there are no rares, and the whole thing is balance by colour.  Most importantly there is no way I can be arsed to sit and type in the list.
Manabase is 10 bouncelands, 10 basics (5 are Snow), 5 Vivid, 5 Shards Tri lands and a smattering of multicoloured ones.  And a Maze of Ith.  It plays great.  Mostly you end up playing Beseech the Queen to find Mistmeadow Witch because you have a ton of mana with all the bounces.

Mythics are Rare as far as Skittles is concerned, and maybe I'd better update my rules page to say so.

Shards and Conflux have gotten us back into Skittles a bit.  There have been some pretty solid lands, and the new set's uncommon "minicycle" of the red, white, and black uncommon 2/2s with "{W} {U} {B} {R} {G}: do something cool" have been remarkable in our decks.  Especially the dude that acts as removal.

Have we worked out a rule for how the new hybrid guys work? The ones with a hybrid mana and a full other mana symbol?

I think they should be just like the charms, because anything else could get to be very confusing with fractional amounts of each color.

Yes, they're 3 colours.  Come under the same umbrella as Flamekin Zealot - it's half each red and white, not some odd combination based on numbers of symbols.  There's really quite a lot to work with in 3 colours now.

And how about the response time...barely more than 3 months to get an answer...!
