Dissension releases May 5th and 6th with prereleases April 22nd and 23rd. Since it's scheduled to become tournament legal May 20th and this tournament is a week prior to that, would you prefer to have Dissension legal for this May 13th tournament or not?
Sound off so that we can make a well-informed decision.
Thanks!

I would also be cool with Dissension being legal.

I'd vote against dissension being legal for the same reasons that we always decide to wait till a set actually becomes legal (save last waterbury day 2) it would end up causing too much confusion for those who don't check the boards regularly or get their info from another source, as I understand it there are already many flyers circulating for this tourney and if they said dissension would be legal I'd be more for it, but they don't so I think that it's a little late to be making this decision.
Sry, just my 2 cents

Keep the feedback coming. We'll decide at least 2 weeks ahead of time so that everyone will have a chance to get up to date.

I'd like it to be legal. I think it will be fine with Dissension as long as you can get the word out so people know ahead of time.

A strong precedent has emerged in the TMD community against allowing new sets before they rotate into use under the DCI calendar. Sticking with that precedent will eliminate confusion and create a uniform standard.

We've heard from both sides. Anyone else wanting to comment should do so now since I'll be deciding this and announcing it by this weekend to give everyone at least two weeks notice.

In the interest of consistency, Dissension will not be legal for this tournament. We'll look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!

well, looks like second place is now spoken for.
p.s.
you should still play F/V, comedic value alone would be worth it. You know you kill with DSC anyways. :-p

We're finishing up Round 6 of the Swiss now. 35 Players attended and we're having a great time! Everyone received a Myriad Games Mana Cookie in addition to the Top 8 Prizes. Thanks to everyone who came. This was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon playing some very enjoyable Magic. The tournament report will be coming next week. Be sure to come to our June 3rd event next month.

Ray Robillard, Steve Padinha, Stefan Ellsworth, and Oliver Beaumont split in the Top 4 and played out the top matches for the 1st round bye at the 4 Workshops Tournament in Enfield, CT on June 17th. Ray ended up winning the bye along with the hilarious option to purchase a 1st round bye at Waterbury IX. A full tournament report is in progress.
