No tournaments on Thursday  2nd and 8th place same still GenCon coming up  EDIT: This tournament is on SUNDAY this year?!?!?! Friday evening, Prelims Saturday night/Sunday Morning at midnight: $500 Sunday Morning: Championships I definitely wish this was scheduled different. So they do know that this tournament ends at like 10 PM and GenCon tries to close at like 5 right? Tell me that the Vintage Champs will be finished at Steak & Shake. |

According to the website as of 4/30/2006 11:44 am PST, the Vintage Championship will be held Friday night, and go into the wee hours of the morning. 5PM Friday: August 11th – Vintage Championship Prelim
$6 Swiss rounds based on attendance with a top-8 single elimination.
First Place wins a 2-round bye at the 2006 Vintage Championship.
10PM Friday: August 11th – Vintage Championship
$6 Straight Swiss rounds based on attendance. No single elimination.
5PM Saturday: August 12th – Vintage Tournament
$6 Straight Swiss rounds based on attendance. No single elimination.
12AM Sunday: August 13th – $500 Vintage Tournament
$10.50 Swiss rounds based on attendance with a top-8 single elimination.
12PM Sunday: August 13th – Vintage Tournament
$6 Straight Swiss rounds based on attendance. No single elimination. To me, a Vintage Championship with no single-elimination Top 8 would suggest that they just threw this up there, and are still working on the schedule. |

What would really be sick is if they charged a little more entry fee and 2nd-8th got a piece of power instead a box of type 2 set. |

I have my plane tickets already and am leaving Sunday afternoon, if they do make the championship Sunday I'm gonna be furious! I guess there is no need to panic as it seems they are still working out the schedule for all of the events, but if the Championship was held Friday @ 10pm that would suck, not as bad as Sunday but still…
I am all about the power for T8 as well vs. the boxes (unless they are Legends) I wonder how long its going to take to get Wizards to start doing the promotional power reprints for this type of thing? The Foil Gemstone Mines were nice and all last year, but who doesn’t like Power? It’s like pie and chips, everyone likes pie and chips. Someday…

it said on the web page that places 1-8 all receive 48 italian legend boosters. I'm not sure if thats a typo, but 48 boosters is worth more then a piece of power, there are some dealers that pay 8 dollars per pack for the italian legends packs. I would be forced to open all mine, if I happened to win any :>

No no no no.. Its 48 packs, including Legends. Some of the packs will be legends. Probably about 8 of them if I remember correctly. The rest will be Ravnica block.
