Are there going to be any other prizes besides said pearl?  What if we get enough to pay for a Pearl AND the Timetwister?
Then we'd put both up.   The 21st seems to be better for everyone.  Is that cool?

That (playing on the 21st) would be better for me, in addition to another guy intending to come with me.

The 21st it is.

It seems like EVERYBODY is happier to have it on the 21st.

The reason I didn't originally scheule it then is because there is something else going on in the store - so we  may be a little more crampe.

Here are the published results from past soldiery touranments:
http://www.morphling.de/top8decks.php?id=83

Take a look at the results along the right.

We had three tournemants after those results that we just stopped publishing the results because tech always came out of our tournaments and since I controlled the decklists after the tournament, everyone always told me not to publish the lists.

You get all of the raw competition of the SCG Events in a compact tournament with a fraction of the hassle and cost and none of the pressure.

You get to play against me, doug linn, Roland Chang, and lots of other meandeckers.   You really can't get better practice than this.

And we always like to have fun.  There will be plenty of T4 and I'll even do some magic puzzles and give away free rares!

This is a tournament you really shouldn't miss!

Is anyone going from/through Pittsburgh who I could potentially bum a ride off (and split the gas bill with) ?

I can' t make this one, but there's a good chance I can do other tournies this summer if you want to share rides/gas money.

You bet.

Steve, do you know if there will be more of these tournaments later in the summer? Turns out I won't be able to make this one due to something that came up that day, but I would love to try and make it out there again.

Actually, probably not.

SCG is in june, another SCG and Waterbury in July, and then Gencon in August.  I doubt we'll hold another one of this for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen events, neither me nor my would-be ride are going to be able to make it.  Sorry. Sad

I'll be there!  If I'm gonna miss out, it could be because I died of alcohol poisoning from the hardcore partying that will commence both Friday and Saturday... that would be a shitty way to go out.

See ya'll there!

We had a really good turn out with 28 people - alot more than i expected, and most importantly, everyone who attended said they had a great time.

Don't bother asking for results - tp skrit.

Howver, I do want to announce that we WILL be holding another one of these sometime in the next few months.  So keep posted....

Ok, I have to call you hypocritical on this one Steve.  I mean, you're always clamoring for tournament results, but you don't want to release the results of your own event.  If you expect to receive, you have to give out.  You're free to withhold the results, but don't get excited if in the future someone decides not to release theirs for the same reason you just gave.  Is that what you really want?

I'm not going to debate this.  Call me hypocritical.  I couldn't[/color] care less.

Bottom line: Everyone LOVED the tournament.  So we'll have to plan another for July probably.

Two things:

1.  Any chance we could see the other T8 lists now?  I'm aware of your previous posts, but was just curious if you changed your mind since you showed us those two lists.

2.  Any info on a future tournament this summer?

Any date after July 1 and prior to August 19 is fine with me.  Perhaps "Are there any particular weekends it CAN'T be held due to other tournaments, events, holidays?"  is a better question to start out with.

The other two lists have already been posted, and Steve and Paul both played Grim Long. Same list. Same pwning.

So, our options are:

July 2, 9, 16, 23, or 30th.

Which sunday would be best?

Ironically, some suggest doing it on July 2nd, even though that is the same weekend as Charleston and Origins - simply cause some magic player will be in town for origins.  Thoughts?

There is a starcity double p9 on July 1st and 2nd in Charlotte, so I'd say the 2nd is out of the picture.

Well, the 2nd is the same day as Origins.  People will be in town and can trek up the soldiery on sunday.

Thoughts?

If this RIW tournament materializes, I may just postpone this.

I would say due to SCG, July 2 probably should not be the date.

Any updates on this?
