From Kowal:
144 people were in attendance.
All of Reflection (Demonic Attorney, Rich Shay, Ben Kowal) is 3-1.
Justin Timoney and Jacob Orlove are currently playing a feature match, both 3-0 going in.
Andy Probasco is 3-1 as well, if I remember correctly.

From Kowal:
Kowal, DA, Brassy, and Rich are all 4-1.
Carl(!) is doing well with TPS
Orlove is X-0-1.
Outlaw, Hatcher, Feinstein, and Chang are all doing well.

From Kowal:
Kowal just beat Tommy Kolowith (sorry if I mispelled that) to be 4-1. Demonic Attorney is also 4-1, and Rich Shay is 3-2 with awesome tiebreakers. Jacob Orlove, Carl Winter, and Justin Timoney are all doing very well. Andy Probasco is 3-2 with bad tiebreakers.
So, people still in contention for top16 by team: Reflection 3/3 Meandeck 3/3 GG's 1/3 ICBM 1 (maybe)/5ish
EDIT: hmmm, maybe Kowal was thinking wrongly or something and all of those records should have one more win. Dunno. I know for sure Kowal said Rich was X-2.

More; he was talking pretty quickly and the sound was choppy, so it might not be 100% accurate.
Kowal won the current round (not sure which it is) is pretty sure he can draw in. Demonic Attorney needs to win the current round, and then draw in; Rich needs to win both the current and next round to make top16. Brassman is out. Orlove, Carl, and Outlaw are still looking good. There was only one X-0-0 player in the entire room, with apparently a large number of unintentional draws (lack of enforcement of slow play maybe?).

Top four: Kowal; winner of some guy named Roger playing B/W fish and some other guy named Rich Myst playing some weird bird$h1t variant with Vinelasher Kudzu that apparently only lost, like, one game all day; winner between Roland and someone else, in a Stax mirror; and Dave Feinstein.

The finals was Rich Myst with Kudzu Birdshit vs. the non-Roland Stax. It looked like Myst was probably going to win, but I'm not sure.
Orlove got 20th.
EDIT: Also, I might have been misunderstood Kowal concerning Roland making the semis, but he was definitely top8. EDIT2: Was wrong about Carl.

Rich Meyst with Vinelasher Kudzu.dec beat Stax in the finals to win the whole thing. The stax player just couldn't handle a deck with 9 strips and Life from the Loam. Kowal made top 4, Carl Winter made top 16, and Roland Chang made top 8. Also, Dave Feinstein made top 4.

Yeah, I'm curious to see the list as well. I know 13_Nova had a similar deck with the Vinelasher, fetches, etc a few months ago, and it was awesome. I"m curious to see how close the two are.

Kowal didn't give me all that much info. Roland's playing Stax, of course, and Kowal's playing our Control Slaver build with Night's Whisper and Memory Jar. It's probably safe to assume Justin Timoney's playing some form of Gifts, and Carl was playing something Tendrils-based. There was at least one other Stax in the top16 of day one, as well as the Kudzu deck and a B/W fish.

I missed top 32 by one match. Damn Team Milkshake Gifting mofo's. lol. I had fun. My first Magic tourny. I learned two things: 1) Don't tap your Blue mana when you have Counterpell in your hand, and 2) Josh's Tog > My Tog. lol

More updates:
Kowal, who's playing CS, and Tommy Kolowith (sorry again if I misspelled that) playing "Pitch Long" (I still think it should be named ICT) ID into top8. Nate Pease (again, apologies if misspelled) playing Tendrils-Confidant-Mask just IDs with Dan Carp playing Gilded Claw. Dave Feinstein is the top-seeded X-2 playing U/W Fish with Jotun Grunts. Rich Shay is also X-2 and has a shot at top eight.
There were 69 people in attendance; at least one X-2 will probably make the top eight.

Ben Carp was X-1 when I talked to Tommy Kolowith on the phone about an hour ago (5:42 central time) but he got paired against an X-1-1 last round, and had to play.

Pretty sure TK made it in.
Feinstein missed top 8, and kowal was playing for top 4 last I heard.
I think Nate made it in, with some mask deck travis put together yesterday.
The top 16 of day 1 was a lot better than last time. The top 4 decks were all really good decks, and the top 16 had a lot of really good players and was generally diverse in decks.
The top 4 fish list was ubw and ran negators, bobs, mages and chalices.
Rich is doing a report so you can wait for info on his sweet deck.
Kowal is playing his slaver list, which i also played day 2, but didn't fair as well. I am pretty sure he didn't drop a game in the swiss.
Feinstein played jotun grunt fish, which looks strong, but suffers from lack of a consistent draw engine, like all fish decks. I am sure he will have plenty to write on it, as the list appears very strong.
