I know there's a lot of WoW players on here (reference the World of Warcraft thread).  Not sure though if everyone is aware of the corresponding card game coming out.

Check out the official site, I know I plan on picking up a box and giving it a whirl with some local fellas.

I am planning to order 6 cases of product when it is released.  I don't know much about the game at all, but I do know that Upper Deck sucks.  I do believe in Blizzard though, so it might be very good.

Well, what's the word? Has anyone tried it out yet?

I bought a box and 3 starters - I think Triple_S did the same, although we haven't had a chance to play yet.  I've just played around some with the starters and taking a stab at some constructed decks.

Initial impressions are good - the game seems to flow very well.  The resource system I really like - no games decided by mana screw, but at the same time it isn't just a matter of curving out every turn like VS.  Lots of decision-making in how to spend your resources each turn, so I think they probably met their goal of taking the best parts they've seen in other games and combining/improving them into a solid hit.

The temptation to try it out is very strong...but I'm hesitant to start dumping money into yet another CCG, especially before this one proves itself.

If you feel it's a good game then maybe before it proves itself is the best time. Think if you dropped tons of money on magic during alpha/beta....

I've been told it plays out exactly like Magic.

I bit the bullet and bought every single I need for a frostmage deck. I also managed to nab some Chromies as they are steadily skyrocketing in price. New game addiction, here I come  Rolling Eyes

I guess there's always Ebay if I change my mind.

It has been selling very well at RIW (the store where I work)  we had sold out our entire supply in the first two days, and it appears that all distributers are sold out until restocks come on November 11th.  It appears as though it is going to be a very popular game.

For those of you who want to try it out to see if it's worth getting into without dropping any cash on it, you can download demo decks from the main site, print them off and use them as proxies (with UDE's sanction, I might add).

Holy crap!  I was just taking a look through some of the cards for this game and I found "Leeroy Jenkins."  Depending on the rules, and assuming "ferocity" is the same as "haste," he could actually be quite good, too.

Ferocity is half-Haste - creatures with it can attack the turn they come into play, but they can't use abilities requiring 'exhaustion' (tapping).
